Historic Heroes theme/leveling pact

Hi all! I am interested in finding 5-6 dedicated, mature players to start a team with a centralized theme that would, ideally, level up through the content together. The theme I would like to use is based around Natural (maybe Magic) origin heroes based on Historic and Mythological figures.

For Example:
King Arthur/Lancelot Broad sword/Shield Scrapper
Robin Hood TA/Arch Defender (Robin Hood could even be an Archery Blaster)
Miyamoto Musashi Katana/SR or Willpower Scrapper
Eric the Red (or maybe a Greek/Roman Hero) SD/Mace or Ax Tanker

I would like the team to have some synergy and actually be an effective team as well as have a theme. I'm stuck trying to figure out who a healer or controller would be (maybe a Ghandi-Empath, or even Merlin as a catch-all. Merlin could have any powers really)

I'm open to any ideas and input on this.

The bulk of my characters are on Freedom but we definitely don't have to make the team on that server. So if this excites anyone reply here and we will try to figure out details as to which server and what times would be best to meet.

Thanks for your time.

Sounds like an interesting concept. If you can pick up the other few players, I'll be down for this.

Good luck with the names.

I'm sure that won't be an issue. Getting the players together and a deciding on a group of AT's that work well together is the bit I will need luck with. I don't want people to have to use XxXKing-ArthurXXX or anything like that. It will just take a bit of creativity to get the one's we need. And the toons don't have to be exactly named after these Mythological figures they can have other names.

William Tell could be an Archery blaster. (though I think he used a cross-bow.)

For Greek heroes:
Perseus shield, sword, (invisibilty power pool)
Orpheus sonic/sonic defender or sonic anything

Good choices! My brother suggested Joan of Arc as a healer/buff/debuffer. Looking like a team full of Archery def/blasters and BS/SD scrappers. Which might be fun. Would need some other things to round out.

Anyone else interested?

Lets see...magical, mythical, history. yep. that's the Power Rangers. (they're history to me)

But seriously, have you picked a specific theme? Might be easier to consider choices and details for the others if you've picked one.

My former sidekick, who has left for Shiny Online, and I once did American Presidents. George Washington was an Axe Tank (cherry tree myth), as was Abe Lincoln (rail splitter), roughrider Teddy Roosevelt was a gun blaster. I can't recall what his Thomas Jefferson was, probably something with gadgets. But I'm sure there's more potential. U.S. Grant with a saber, Ronald Reagan, known for pushing Star Wars as as Kheldian...

Basically everyone you've listed there was a leader, so have everyone take the leadership pool. Bam, no need for a defender.

I can see that.

On the other hand, Reagan was legendary for his ability to placate his opponents. Just sayin'...

(BTW, the comic, is that Martian Manhunter?)
