looking for some feed back
Whoa. Relax little buddy.. Looks like you already know how. That was meant for the people who asked, in this thread, how to do it.

Nice
yeah, I've tried the poster edges filter before. It doesn't do what I want and I don't have the same level of control. Please, no more "Do it in 1-click" fixes people. Chances are I've tried them and I already know they don't do what I want.

Mouse, the caption on your poster cracks me up though!
something else that the post effect doesn't do is give me control. With the colored Line art technique I've been using, I can isolate certain elements (if I plan ahead that is). See how I can isolate one right from the rest of the image:
I'm thinking, or rather I'm hopeful, that I'll be able to adapt this technique to allow me to display certain actions in my comics that can not be done in game. For instance, I'm working on a comic based on Kat Scratched Fever. And there's a scene in early on where Amadeo is rubbing Mynx's fore head and gropes her. Little difficult to do that in game, and it's impossible to show Mynx's facial reactions to the actions. I'm "hoping" that I'll be able to adapt this technique to address both points. Damn it, I wish my laptop could run CoH. I'd already be working on these points right now
has promised, here are the two main tutorials I pulled from to do these Cartoon-esqu styles:
First is the Line art tutorial
And second is the coloring tutorial
Wow good stuff! From someone who is self taught on computer graphics, this is very interesting and a new learning tool for me - thank you! Keep up the good work and keep it coming!

okay need some feed back one something. I'm taking the first real steps to using these techniques in my comics, and I've finished tracing several images that I'm going to assemble into the comic. I took this back ground shot:
and I traced it, selectively to become this (before any coloring mind you)
as you can see I omitted some details such as the chain-link gratting around the door way and in the ceiling tiles. Also I didn't trace in the larger structures in the hall that you can see from inside room. Now here's my question, should I include the stuff out in the hall? And if so, how far back into the hall should I trace?
I vote you should go into the hall, it might provide even further "depth" to it.

I agree, definitely go into the hall. Man that looks like alot of work!
