Quick Question, when they are NPC's not controlled by you, can you summon more?

For instance, lets say the Bruiser from thugs becomes an NPC, Can you summon another Bruiser?

No you cannot...however when i saw this, I tried to buff them with my thermal shields and after buffing them they were re-added as my pets..strange stuff indeed. I bugged it naturally..but if you can't do that, you can right click on them and dismiss them. Then re-summon.

Krom, there were times I could not 'right click' on the 'npc' status pet that used to be mine to dismiss him, but I could use /releasepets to get them to scram.

They're only considered NPCs from the Client or User Interface perspective. In every aspect except for the direct control of slash commands and buttons to push, they function exactly like MM pets do. The bodyguard effect still happens, they still are under the effect of any AoE buffs you've got toggled, etc.

Just pretend the bug isn't happening, unless you absolutely need that control for an RP reason or some other reason. If you play normally, as soon as you apply any targeted buffs or they get attacked your UI will figure out that they're your pets.

Even if you don't have buffs to snap them back in, if you've got an upgrade power you can use that instead.

I don't know about it just being a client issue. That first day they wouldn't respond to petcomall. Fortunately since the quick fix maint they did on the servers I have only seen it happen once (I think), and it seemed to be fixed by clearpetnames.

On that point there is an issue with pet names getting scrambled a bit. It doesn't matter for most sets. On my Mercs I was finding the name I'd allocated my pull pet (DeadMeat) was occasionally getting stuck onto my Medic (DocSuicide) who'd run off and get killed when I hit the macro.

I set up some binds to rename the pets, so when it happens I just hit CTRL+N three times and it resets them all.

Now, the last few times I played with my MM(I have been only playing my MM since I16) the zoning with pets did not work at all. Well, on the first day they did zone but I lost control temporarily. But after that they don't zone at all, whether I'm in a team or not.
