Anger towards those that did not want to do this. Why? Or better yet Why did Stray have to join in (I would have help her out if I as asked) I gave my thought early on oh I thought and was told that this is a AOW even and will be ran there way. Fine. My RL Friend SG has 4 ppl in 3 that have 50s and only that was on during the event - Sorry last I heard it was SG only not PuG so why show up to it when I could do something else with others on the server.

The comment about AOW not gettting involved is wronge. 1/4 of the people in the event were in AOW. As for not letting them be involved is also wronge since this event is meant to be open to anyone and it would not be fair ESPECIALLY to our members to exclude them.
If a SG host an even then members should not play. If you want to have something that both can do, be ready for the unfair crys when they win. Sorry but that is typically why SG dont let members play to avoid the drama.

We have tried really hard to help get EVERYONE involved and help the server. People call it grandstanding, we call it putting our money where our mouths are and actually putting words in to ACTION!

Unfortunately, there are way to few other people willing to do so, this shows how pathetic all the other sg's and people are. No one takes time to help each other. This event shows how bad PuG's really are.
You know I was trying to find a good opinion of you but each time you say CRAP like the above makes it were I would not want to do something with AOW or its members.

Now I know Stray & Dread gave good advice.. but if someone in your SG and active voice bashs them and what not. I think you might just make the next Lord Dip *** on this server yet.

Ignorance much? Are you angry that not many SG's showed up? Well it could of been that this was stated to be a test event or that this was posted less than a week before the actual event.

Although, it seems like you cancelled the events because a select few of people gave constructive criticism for the most part. I know for a fact that UHB was interested in doing the later events. But, calling everyone and all other SG's on Champion pathetic does not make you or AOW look good at all.

I think PUGS are entertaining.. ive met lots of super cool people from them and its how i was intorduced to BMT and to these forums. Its also how i became interested in running events as well. Ya' Ive had a few sucky pugs.. but it was before BMT. IMO the majority of people on BMT play with a certain respect on teams.. you dont get a lot of idiots from PUGs put together from BMT.. However, I dont consider the people i have teamed with from BMT to really be PUG people.

I too, questioned AOW's participation in this event, i even said it vocally in broadcast. I had dave on my team and can vouch that it was ran cleanly and above board. I wouldnt have remained on the team had that not been the case.. i will admit though, it did make me uneasy... simply from the other teams view point.

As slacker pointed out, this event was intitally geared ONLY to sg's.. It was also scheduled for a saturday evening at 4pm pst / 7pm est.. making sure you have 8 people on in your sg, at that given time, is difficult at best.. thats PRIME TIME, on a saturday night, during the summer..I can certainly see why this would be hard to achieve.

As he also has pointed out: "My RL Friend SG has 4 ppl in 3 that have 50s and only that was on during the event - Sorry last I heard it was SG only not PuG so why show up to it when I could do something else with others on the server."

This is what our sg's issue is. We're small. As are A LOT of other really good sg's. The way this event was originally slated, it was ONLY geard to the LARGE sg's.

The Champion Community doesnt just consist of large sg's. And lets face it, just because you are in a SG doesnt mean you like some of the people in your sg let alone want to spend time on a team with them.

Now Felecia, this isnt me taking your remarks about how pathetic all other sg's are (your words) personally.. but again, as was the blanket remark about BMT wrong.. i think this is a pretty bold, incorrect, blanket statement.

Its my hope that this thread dies soon. I dont think this animosity towards other sg's is going to solve anything and in the end its only going to alienate even more people.

QFT. I think the fact that we as a community have several SGs of different sizes, rules, structure and groups of people is not something that should change, but should be encouraged. There isn't an SG that's right for everyone, and I believe people should have the opportunity to find something that is suited to them, be it in a large SG, with a few RL friends or family members, etc.

On that note, when I read something like this:
Quote:
Teams must be from the same VG or SG or divisions of the VG or SG.
Followed by this:
Quote:
We have tried really hard to help get EVERYONE involved and help the server.
I find it hard to understand your frustration. I agree with Kat that because it's your event, you should be able to run it as you see fit. However, when you place limitations on the audience that your event is directed at, it shouldn't come as a surprise that more folks didn't show up. One could argue that someone could put their toon in a larger SG for the event, but frankly, I don't think many would be interested in that option, as many people from small SGs are just as proud of their SG tag as those from larger SGs.

Now it seems that in the end, after much discussion, people from different SGs were allowed on the same team for your most recent test event. I’m not sure where along the lines the rules were changed. For this reason, I’ll make the comment that when you post about an event, it helps to have all the information displayed as concisely and clearly as possible to avoid confusion.

In regards to this:
Quote:
The event was meant for large sg's with pro players to get out and have fun and to encourage smaller sg's to make more friends.
I think you are operating under the incorrect assumption that people from small SGs are somehow lacking in friends, are unhappy that they are small or are lacking skilled players. There are numerous networks available in game that connect different groups of people from different SGs. Also, a lot of people from small SGs prefer small SGs. Again different strokes for different folks. And in terms of skill, like Cherry said, I've found some incredible people in smaller groups. I would not underestimate the quality of player you get from a small SG.

Lastly:

It is unfortunate that, despite your seemingly good intentions, your attempt at bettering the community has resulted in this. However, there are many different people that contribute to our community, and your lack of participation will not stop what has already been established.

Good luck to you and yours.

You know sadly here we are again with a ****** up Felecia thread.

Sad thing is when I was messaged by Habachi about helping him do this event I initially told him no that I would not support another event ran by Felecia after the p.m.'s she sent me in regards to my AV killer event. I decided that wasn't being very mature and I should support her events whether she chose to support mine or not. So I went ahead and did the event anyways.

This made me think of something very important. Being a community organizer is a priviledge. If the community doesn't support your events then you have no job to do, no fulfillment comes from running them. Perhaps rather than think everyone should be kissing your *** because you run some events you should learn the definition of humility. (–noun the quality or condition of being humble; modest opinion or estimate of one's own importance, rank, etc.)

I am actually jealous though, I can't get away with being a total ******** ***** because my Sg members would be embarrassed and quit.

Well, I have voiced my opinions to felecia regarding opening it up to the server again (which should be done, i think 99% of people who participated enjoyed it). I apologize for any misconstrued comments, or any others that left a bad taste. However, she has not changed anything after speaking with me. You can expect no more comments out of me because i have left the sg.

Just throwing this out there, and it's not a slight for those who enjoy trying to come up with "community events" for the server, but since when is the Champion community so disjointed and fractured that we need to be constantly "pulled together" by having big events that pay out big rewards? Is having fun not reward enough anymore? Is doing something besides soloing not reward enough?

And to the topic at hand: Thanks, Felicia, for sparing us from further subjugation to your misguided attempts to unite us. (although as I think about it, you managed to unite many of us against you more than any of your events ever would have on their own) You tell us we're not worthy to do anything with your SG anymore, and to that I say "Thank God for that." I'd hate to think I'd sunk that low.
