Best No Holds Barred Fire/Kin Troller Build?
Well from what I can see in that build it seems like you are just slotting sometimes for the sake of having a purple set.. For example Soulbound Allegiance is actually broken as it only affects pets at lvl 50, while Imps are summoned at lvl 49. The Apocolypse set is pretty useless if you ask me.. Switch the Positrons blast in your Immob for Graviational Anchor. There is a larger +Recharge set in that, and anyone who knows fire/kins will tell you slotting AoE for damage is useless as you are capped with DMG from your FS. 6 slot Fulcrum Shift, or minimum 5. It's a power you'll need up every group and as a fire/kin you'll be tearing down the group pretty quick, 5/6 Slot Transference with Efficacy Adaptor for the +Recharge. 3 slot Hasten. Switch the Devesation set to Decimation for the +6.25% Recharge.. Basically would you like me to post up a Fire/Kin/Fire all round Build?

So I have a question for you. I caught the part about Soulbound Allegiance being broken? So basically that whole set does nothing right now?
I just did a forum search for the Soulbound Allegiance... most people are saying that they have fixed the set and even fixed the chance for Build up as well. Can anyone confirm this fix?

(If you have cash, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to achieve perma-Hasten.)

With the spawn size changes I'm definitely moving my build back from a perma IW Fire/Kin/Psi to a soft capped Fire/Kin/Stone.
What about the new changes to Psi? I hear that WoC is a pretty good combo. Since it's not in MIDS I can't really look at a potential build yet so any thoughts?

I suppose if you get containment off the DoT's mixed with hotfeet it could be... somewhat useful? I remember the size of the aura being pretty small though.
I have to say, hands down, my fire/kins are among my favorite toons. I have two seperate fire/kins, both completely IOed out, dual builds and all. In all ild say ive sunk well over a couple bil into the builds, and possibly another bil into previous builds and respecs etc.
What I love mostly about the combo is the absolute abundance of options for running them, almost all of the epics having their place in farming. This game is a hobby of mine, i have made probably a hundred or more different builds for my fire/kins from proposed AV soloing, to TFs, to teaming and farming. I am STILL making builds for them.
Thanks to AE farming, my main fire/kin is my fire/kin/fire, running the build below. I typically run hooligan LT spawns on him, thanks to the defence all i have to do is FC + FS + FB + FC and in a matter of prolly 2-4 seconds the spawn is gone. This toon can also solo blue mito maps etc.
The build itself isnt soft capped, but with smoke, it comes in roughly soft-capped to ranged and comes with a hefty S/L resistance.
Expense means nothing in terms of build performance, the build im running is cheap, yea, but highly effective.

This is absolutely unnecessary. If you have enough global recharge for perma-Hasten, you can get away with slotting FS as one accuracy, one recharge, and you'll have it up twice per group easily. Even if you stick with just the base accuracy slot, you'll still certainly have it up every group.
(If you have cash, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to achieve perma-Hasten.) |
If you want full mezz resistance up 99.9% of time and mega-aoeage, try this build.
I love having Indominitable will being down for only one sec with this build, granted I have to keep 2 siphon speeds active, but that is easy when farming. With very high defense, and fast recharges on holds, I play this toon like a scrapper and rip right through +2-+3s. Alternatively, putting a Scirrocco damage proc in woc adds to the overall damage. Accuracy is not really an issue since all powers have an extra 84% acc bonus from the sets. This is why I did not have to slot some powers like FS for acc.

This build is pretty close I think to a perfect build for farming Battle Maiden. If I had more inf. I would switch out the Doctored Wounds IOs for Panacea IOs is all. Also, if you notice in this build, I can get soft capped defense to everything except I'm a little short for soft capping Psi. Even my Imps are soft capped in this build when the situation calls for it. =D

You realize that with set bonuses you have over 50% accuracy bonus so why use a kismet +6% accuracy? There are more things wrong with that build then there are right.
I have no room to talk cuz my build I'm sure won't win me any pats on the back but at least it is what it is on its own when solo or teamed.
I'm looking for a lil feedback/new ideas on a Fire/Kin Troller build. Obviously It WILL be used for some farming. A lil Battle Maiden, Freaks, Demons, a lil AE Boss farming, maybe even some TF's. I don't PvP so that's not a concern for me.
Below is what I have now. As you can see, influence is not a problem and I have another 4 billion saved up between 3 toons to put together any build that can be come up with so put in anything you feel you need to make your build perfect. I may use what I figure as the best build as my 2nd build and keep what I already have.
The idea is that the build must be able to handle anything from above fast and efficiently and still be durable. Be able to solo with little to no help on all but the highest difficulty settings.
