I have to admit, I like the quicker game play of CO and I'm gonna give the RP aspect time to develop, BUT I'm not sure it will. I'm not sure it has what it takes to be immersive.
I have to admit though I like Gadgeteer concept, I think we need to bring the mastermind over to hero side so I can remake Jack as Robotics/Dev Mastermind....or there is that whole evil thing....hmm.

As I've said before, to anyone on this board who is trying to decide between CO and CoH. If you can only have one of them just stick with CoH, really you won't be missing much. But if you can try out CO, I'd say go for it, it's a fun game and you might like it.
As for the RP, that's always been a factor of what those playing the game make for it. Simply put it all depends on who you play with more then what you play.
But overall right now CoH probably blows CO out of the water from RP perspective. And the main reason for that is user created content. CO likes to tout the laughable user created content in their game via their nemesis system. But the truth is their nemesis system just doesn't hold a candle to what the Architect system has to offer.
The nemesis system lets you, at most, create a single character to be your nemesis. After that you're pretty much picking preset combinations of henchmen and power sets. The missions are still basically all the same no matter what you picked.
No really, that's it.
It's a fun added set of missions to take part in, but it's certainly nothing special. And it's hilarious to see the CO devs go crazy about how incredibly innovative their Nemesis system is and how it allows for an unprecedented level of user created content to be built into the game. At which point you just gotta point them in the direction of this game and laugh.

Its one thing to feel your job warrents enough fame to hand out autographs but its another to be such a nerd you want a videogame makers autograph...though im not interested in anyones autograph so... *shrug*

I guess the main things that keep me on the fence about picking up CO is the cool powers they have that CoX doesn't. (The flights and swinging and digging,ect,ect)
Since it's paid off part of me wants to just go ahead and pick it up but at the same time I'm thinking "That's $50 that can go into something else".
