Hehe, nice. It's also pretty cool to see the work evolving as it goes with those different shots lined up like that.

Hmm, is this a guessing game, a 'fill in the blanks' game?

let's see how long before the obvious word is given and how long we can keep it board friendly?

Hmmm...
hope you hug him

Very Nice LJ. I do in fact him! It was also a lot of fun to watch him develop over the course of the day. Thank you for continuing to share your talents with us.

Bah, I wish I had gotten here a bit earlier LJ. You're suffering from hand dominance, which is causing you to skew your art a bit. I would have pointed it out in the WIP if I had seen it. :/

The colors are very nice however.

"hand dominance"?

I'm also interested to know what is meant by hand dominance. It gave me an interesting mental image of LJ doing arts with his feet to shake things up ^.^

Is it that flip the image horizontal that some artists do? Cause I never do that... Not sure what to do when you flip it, I mean I've seen it done to fix edges or slanted alignments of eyes and such... but again, it's a step I tend to ignore... mostly cause it's not a habit.

Hand dominance is when you're too comfortable with drawing with one side of your hand, instead of your arm as a whole, making it difficult for you to draw at angles or curves that are unnatural motions for that hand. So if you're right handed, drawing right curves is easy, but not left curves.

In this case, because you're seeing the pic from the viewpoint that you always do, you miss that the face gets skewed when you tilted the head sideways. If you move the canvas to compensate or flip the picture, you'll see the error in the balance. If you're overly dominant on one side, your pictures will always tend to skew in that direction naturally.

A lot of people don't realize that they do it, because it's a natural part of the way your arm functions mechanically. Right handers want to draw from top right to bottom left. Not from top left to bottom right. Only by drawing with your full arm does that top left to bottom right motion become easier, but you lose fine motor control when doing it. It's something that you need to be aware of in general and then especially when doing odd angles or poses, because the twisty nature of an odd pose makes us lose the ability to recognize errors as easily.

Neat, I didn't know hand dominance was the word for that. But I know what you mean with the skewing.

I do a lot of standing at an easel and drawing for my drawing classes. I assume that's the logic behind the students learning to use their whole arm in the process.
