The Rogue Isles Legends (a villain team)
Yeah I don't really need a kin that badly. I've built out how the stoney will work so it is only at -1.7 rech and runs at 20 mph. I know I have mids fu.
building it in mids is the easy part. funding the build (and finding the loot on the market) can be dicier.
Paragon Unleashed, Unleash Yourself!
Simple solution, cut the kb from the build. srsly. kb is for soloin.

It's the only way to get my recharge higher. KB = win for +rech set bonuses. Best non purple way to do it.
Agreed...best non-purple way to go for +rech, but also best way to annoy the team lol. Although, we should have alot of -KB (I hope) with the amount of Doms we have so far. Everything should be rooted - literally. (Yes, a plant dom joke)

I hope so. Like to keep things nice and tight for the /rad debuffs and aoe attacks

With the amount of doms I'm sure nothing will go flying. I know when to toss my big KB's and when not to. There will be times I'll do it anyways. . . but there is always fun in waitching whole mobs fly 30 yards.
Okay I built him since he is able to built now. He is Older Than Dirt (old as was taken) a War Mace/Stone Brute.
Now I'm curious- what's the KB tipping point where it goes from knockDOWN to knockBACK? One of the sweet improvements made to Mace over the years was when the KB in Shatter and Crowd Control got turned into K-Down. If you're slotting full KB sets to get the 7.5% recharge bonus, you're probably tripling the KB those attacks are doing. But if your total KB is only 2-3 pts, you may still be keeping the mobs close.
My Stone/Mace tank turns 5 this October, so I'm very familiar with the terrain you're staring at. The combo of Mud Pots and Taunt solves a lot of the KB issue, but I'm not sure how the build changes when you go Brute instead of Tank. Those may be powers you hadn't planned on taking, YMMV, etc.

Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.
I plan to grab both Taunt & Mud Pots. Only Powers I am not taking are Minerals, Crystal, & Brimstone armor. I have every other power from both sets. As well as Recall, Tele, Kick, Tough, Weave, swift, health, stam, & hasten.
I may take hasten out once I finish his rech slotting stuff and replace it with an AoE immob of my own though if the KB is out of hand.
Has anyone had a chance to take a claws brute passed... oohh...say.. level 20 yet? I'm working on 2 versions right now (/wp and /elec) and neither are above that. Just wondering what yall think of the set. ^_^
I know I would be interested to see how claws does on brutes myself too, but I am equally concerned it may not be so great...
Both /WP and /Elec seem like they could be interesting fits.

I have plans to make a claws/WP when i16 hits. At this point I'm just happy knowing i already like the way claws runs better than the toons current rendition DB/WP. DB is not my set. I know it's good it is just not for me. Claws on the other hand I've played quite a bit and love.
On test, for a little bit at least, when you had your claws out.. your running animation changed. Instead of swinging your arms like normal, your arms were extended downward as you ran. It looked pretty cool, IMO. Like it was an all-out rush to go kick some tail. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it happen in a while. I hope it wasn't just a glitch.
In any case, yeah, WP and Elec seem nice. Haven't had too much trouble with them so far. WP was a bit easier, but... well... it's WP. And Elec will, more than likely, get 2x better once I'm able to get to the level that Heal comes at.
Okay team evil, as you might now, there was a download on exit today, that was probably the set up for I-16. I think it's fair to assume that bad ship lolipop will be setting sail into turbulent, pirate laden seas within a week or two. With that in mind, I'd like to get our first week's two hour run laid out, just so everyone is on the same page.
Meet at Kalinda with level 1 or level 2 new characters. Run Kalinda's missions. Use misison drop on the stupid "Eliminate the Infected" mission that is at the other end of the zone and we dont have travel powers. Stick with Kalinda until level 5-6. Head to Oakes. Run 3 newspapers, and if there is time, knock out the first Mayhem so we have at least some kind of ghetto travel power.
Any objections or thoughts?

Sounds good to me.
Well I actually buy the Game Cards so I have a Jetpack from the start.

I pick up the 30 day jetpack from time to time myself, especially if I am playing a lot of lowbie alts. Havent grabbed one in a few months though.

Crud, I took Burke. Oh well, I'll survive with a couple fewer merits.
If it goes live next Tuesday, are we firing up that evening?

No. If it goes live tomorrow or friday, maybe that would be enough notice, but I don't expect you guys to be ready to jump in at the drop of a hat.
Unless that's what you guys want.
Paragon Unleashed, Unleash Yourself!
Well I was the guy who wanted it the First tuesday after this group was made.
