Team 2 finished at a bit under 1:40 with 25 deaths. I'm a bit rusty at the LRSF so my leadership wasn't all it should have been, but thankfully we pulled through. Thanks to everyone for coming out, and special thanks to Domina for sleeping the FP on the last mission, that made all the difference.

Edit: Oh yeah I should mention that was my first successful LRSF on Freedom, so extra thanks to everyone who joined! With my alt-itis it's been a long road to 50 since I transferred here, and having all the SFs done now on my first Freedom 50 makes me really feel like I've settled into my new(ish) home.

Quick sum: E's team was trying to get a filler for about half an hour, so we started around 11ish officially. That filler then dropped off about 3/4 of the way through, so we were one man down (a /kin, at that, so the SB goodness we were enjoying went to poo). Got to the last mish, and we had one guy sleeping the Phalanx while we pulled various bodies.

Numina went down normally.

Statesman did not. With six villains, we were just able to get him around to 10% when he'd go zomgUnstoppable and his health would ramp back up. Worked him up and down the HP yo-yo for about 30 minutes like this before we gave up and reset to pull another of the Phalanx.

Those pulls went fine in general; again with one dominator chain-sleeping, and the rest of us pigpiling on Psyche, BaB, Synapse, etc. By the time we got to Statesman, it was a team of all 7 of us, which was then able to overcome States's zomgUnstoppable and drop him like a pair of nun's knickers in about 3 minutes flat.

My apologies to the team; there were two points where I blatantly fell asleep (luckily not during an actual AV fight, but still). I'm reconsidering my runs with you guys because of the sleep issues - unless we start on time, and can conclude the run in 90 mins or less, I don't think I'm reliable as a teammate. I thought I could do it, but in reality, I'm getting old.

Well, at least one of the teams had an easy time of it last night! Who organized this anyway? :smirk:

Well, we started off about 20 mins after Team #2 got rolling. We had a hard time filling out the last spot, finally doing so with a /kin corruptor (Scruffy switched out to a Brute at that point - perhaps not the best of moves based on what was to happen later). So we were basically running one mission behind all the way through...until the end at least.

After we took out the Future Freedom Phalanx our /kin dropped (we hoped it was just a drop, but he never came back). So we were down one person & Paragon lost his perma-Dom status...

Even so, we continued on taking out the Vindicators & Ms Liberty without much problem.

Here we are fighting Swan


Moving on to the last mission is where we felt the loss the most. Paragon tried to keep the Freedom Phalanx slept while we pulled, but without perma-Dom it was difficult:

First pull brought Numina - as she was going down, States broke free & joined the party. We took down Numina before our ill-advised assault on Statesman...We kept getting him to low health, but coudlnt' finish him off killing plenty of us & a near wipe in the process - we spent a little too much time on him & people were getting sleepy.

We let the aggro subside & once again started sleeping & pulling - this time to much better effect.

Trying to remember the order, but I think it was:

Sister Psyche
Manticore
Synapse

Citadel

Back Alley Brawler
Positron

We then moved in and started attacking Statesman...


This time, with Paragon in the attack/hold/debuff mix, we were able to easily take him down completing the strike force!

Well - that concludes the Villain SF/Event Run on Wednesdays (at least for now). I think I am going to take a little break from the strictly Villainous Wednesdays & mix things up a bit.
