Ragdoll button

The idea: A button with which we can activate/deactivate ragdoll mode. Who isn't even slightly intrigued by the idea of running with superspeed at a railing and ragdolling at the last minute to hurdle off the side of an AE building?

Fall damage would still have to apply to prevent abuse. And possibly something to keep people from activating/deactivating it in mid-fall to avoid taking fall damage or something.

This video also helps.

While I give two thumbs up to the idea, I recall having read or heard from a redname that our characters don't use ragdoll physics for one reason or another.

But I'd love them to.

don't use ragdoll physics for one reason or another.

I've seen {and put} enough baddies jammed in walls, doorframes and war walls not to want to experience it for myself.

Tell me about it. Look what happened to my poor Enforcer after being caught in a Lab Equipment explosion.

He just hovered there in that position, slowly bouncing around but otherwise immobile. I had to dismiss him and resummon.

We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...

If they could somehow fix the...umm...Mishaps caused by Ragdoll, then I could see this becoming unbelievably entertaining. As it stands, however, It's rather not have my head crammed through a solid wall...

Oh, and please, DO NOT fix the mishaps. Not only are they a completely valid combat tactic, they are also funny as ****.

The off-beat space pirate...Capt. Stormrider (50+3 Elec/Storm Science Corruptor)
The mysterious Djinn...Emerald Dervish (50+1 DB/DA Magic Stalker)
The psychotic inventor...Dollmaster (50 Bot/FF Tech Mastermind)

The combat mishaps/jams into solid objects are one good reason not to allow players Ragdoll physics. Allow me to express a second.

Ever been fighting enemies on the side of a hill, and pull a KB attack on one that sends him sliding all the way to the bottom? If you've got ranged attacks you can keep attacking him while he slides down for some pretty massive damage.

Now envision enemies performing the same maneuver on you. Knocking you down on the side of a hill and beating on your limp, sliding body all the way to the bottom of the hill.

You think Knockback is annoying -now-?! How many people buy KB Resistance IOs for any non-melee character they create? Has to be a lot 'cause those IOs sell for a bundle on the market, Right?

It's a feature that would take a while to create, an indefinitely long time to test, an even longer time to re-test it on every map created between now and the end of the game's run, and most people either wouldn't use it at all OR would use it once or twice and then never again.

So no. I think this is a bad idea.
