Proc Question
Ok, I play a warshade. I found a recipe for Energy Manipulator: Chance to Disorient. If I were to equip this into Dark Nova, what would happen? Would I stun myself? Would it give my attacks a chance to stun? Or nothing?
That said, if Dark Nova is a bad place to put it, where would be a good place? |
This enhancement adds a 10% chance to disorient your foe. (This IO does not affect PCs or PC controlled pets.) |
It sounds like this proc would have no effect if you put it in dark nova because the dark nova power affects only you; the other powers that you get access to while in nova form affect other characters. You CAN put it in there if you're going for the set bonuses (@2 = +1.5% recovery, @3 = +6% regeneration) but if you're without one of the other two in the set, it would be useless there.
Aside from the fact it shouldn't work in Nova therefore being pointless I would be wary of doing so, quite a few similar procs are bugged so that they will actually affect you even though they shouldn't.
Indeed I think this proc in stamina did stun you at one point, though that may have been fixed by now.
British by act of union, English by grace of God, Northern by pure good fortune!
Yes, at one point it did stun you if placed in Stamina, I read about someone doing that to a friends character whose account they had access to so they could see how long it took them to figure out why they'd be randomly stunned while standing around.
I think it got fixed because people were griefing other people by putting it in Speed Boost and stunning them by buffing them. . .
I believe that Eclipse is the only Warshade power that will benefit from it although I wouldn't really call that a good use of a slot. You won't use Eclipse often enough to really benefit and after using it you are shouldn't need additional mitigation anyway.

If you PL'd to 50 just to get an "epic" thinking you'd be ber, you're going to be sorely disappointed with the HEATs, because the VEATs were designed so that anyone with one good finger and a braincell can rock the toggles.
I agree... The "goal" of *most* WSs is to get Eclipse up as often as possible (perma, if possible), so slotting something like that in Eclipse would take away from what recharge you could get in there slot-wise...
