Just curious as to people's thoughts. I've run /Nin and /SR to 50 on stalkers, but I'm wondering what to try with DB. EA? WP? Or run Nin or SR again? Thoughts?

Don't everyone answer at once.

Umm, anything? They all work. But unless you know what you're getting into, I'd steer clear of Dark Armor as the costly endurance stacks badly with the endurance hungry dual blades. Elec armor isn't really all that good but may be improving by i16 but it has a lot of endurance management. Regen is iffy because all the clicks will cause redraw for DB/.

I"d go /nin because you have to pick fewer powers from your secondary.

looking on Mid's, unless it is broken on stalker DA, the end use is not bad at all. Seriously, it is showing an end use of 1.07, and that is running every toggle, cj, tough and weave.

Dark Armor is like that kid you knew in school that didn't know when to shut up, and no matter how bad he got beaten down, he got right back up again and kept on talking.

Dark Armor's toggles cost less than the other armors (.21 vc .26 end/sec). The main offenders are Death Shroud, Cloak of Darkness (both unavailable to Stalkers) and Cloak of Fear.

really, really diggin my db/da stalker. level 27 atm, and it is just killer fun. No end problems to speak of.

Fixed that up.

Also: Theft of Essence: %+End ftw

It mainly depends on if you want to be a ninja or a scrapper. (Not Scrapper, mind you. That's a whole other topic.) Defense sets like Ninjitsu are my personal favorite for Stalkers, because if enemies can't hit me, I can go Hidden again and pull off another Assassin's Strike. However, some people like to do one AS and then just duke it out with the rest of the mob. A Resistance set like Dark Armor, Electric Armor, etc will fit that playstyle nicely.

Yeah, like Weatherby said, it's not the toggles. Actually, I've always said that Stalker DA is cheaper than any other melee AT because it has Cloak of Darkness (hide) for 0 end, no Death Shroud and tend to turn Cloak of Fear/Oppressive Gloom off when not needed. But Dark Regeneration is expensive. Especially expensive because the HP return you get (while proportionally the same) is less than any of the others. Tankers get this for a steal, as they have humongous HP and get it refilled for 1/3 of the endurance.

Anyway, I'm not saying don't use DA, just know what you're getting into. It can be a very unforgiving set.

I've been playing my Claws/EA and EM/EA in the low-mid levels and I have to say, it's pretty satisfying. The EM/EA will have capped defense to smash/lethal/fire/cold/energy by lvl 35. The build isn't even half IO'ed either, just IOs in about 5 powers does it.
