ATI cards and CoH

Do the current gen 4xxx graphics cards from ATI still suffer from rendering funny and kind of being out of whack with CoH? I seem to keep bumping into having to configure things six ways to sunday for ATI cards.

Thanks for any insight!

Easy, follow these instructions and everything will smooth out nicely:

Don't know, assume so. I believe the problem lies with ATI's OpenGL driver implementation than something lacking in their hardware.

Yes, they still suffer from issues and take a fair amount of tweaking to get to work well, and you still need to make decisions on certain options since you can not have them all enabled at once.

Some options you do not want to enable at all as they will cause problems.

Yes, it is how ATI implemented the OpenGL calls in the drivers.

I just set mine to the settings in the first post of BillZBubba's ATI Issues and Setting Recommendation thread that is stickied in the Technical Issues and Bugs forums and don't have any problems. I could likely play around with slight increments to a few areas to see if I can improve the graphics without causing other problems, but since it works so well the way it is, I see no reason to mess with it and get myself frustrated.
