Fire/SR AV soloing?

Hey guys, been recently running my FM/SR and loving it to the point of where I want to make it my AV toon. I've tried builds on Mids but cant really get all the +rch talk for a good attack chain down. I really dont have the inf for purple sets but pretty much anything else can be had.

Also which is the better (easier to obtain) DPS chain that can be used? Any help is appreciated.

You don't need loads of recharge to get a respectable FM attack chain. Incinerate -> GFS -> Cremate -> FS only needs 134% recharge in GFS (combined enhancement and global recharge).

Norse is right. If you are willing to use four attacks (I know: too much for Werner ) in your chain the proposed chain is fine.

Here is a build that I made for AV soloing, has aid self and has a nice bit of recharge with almost 300% regeneration.

Hey guys thanks for the info so far and Santo thanks for the sample build. I'm assuming with having Aid Self that you have enough +rch to not need hasten.

Also, with having the Big 2 recovery IOs would you need to run the lower DPE chain of Incinerate/Scorch/Cremate/Scorch?

With just the 2 IOs I would run the lower DPE chain but if you have Conserve Power and it recharge in a good amount of time you can for for the better attack chain.

Well there would be other +recovery from set bonus' and Stamina with it's +end proc. Just trying to figure out the most optimized way w/o having to dip into purples. Santo's seems nice, just want to make sure it'll be ok to not have hasten.

It's funny 'cause it's true - I want the fewest attacks that I can get away with, and I'm a big fan of simple A -> B -> C -> B chains. So for Fire, I'd probably run the Incinerate -> Scorch -> Cremate -> Scorch chain. It's merely good DPS, but it only takes three attacks, and has very good EPS, which is good for making an AV soloer on the cheap.

This is the build I've succesfully used on my FM/SR AV soloer.

Notice slotting of Tough to allow it being used during AV fights (could move a slot or two from the passives to get better Res/End). Also a couple of spots to put LotG +Rech IOs into if you're willing to spend the money. It's worth noting, though that they aren't needed to run an attack chain of Incinerate > Cremate > GFS > FS.

Dont know if this would be any use but i think ive build a rather nice fire/SR... altho its a brute it doesnt have any EPP, so you could trade some powers if you wanted, but i dont know how viable it would actually be

Edit: running the chain Werner suggested this build gets 119 DPS *excluding arcanatime* with a
2.84 EPS for a net loss of .1 EPS with toggles

Running Incinerate>GFS>Cremate>Scorch *dont have FS* would have 153 DPS *agian excluding arcanatime* with a 3.80 EPS for a net loss of .97 EPS with toggles

Edit #2:swapping the serindipity in weave for 4 peices of GotA and def, def/end of serindipity will allow the first chain to be run with sustainable endurance *excluding the use of aid self ofcourse*

The difference shouldn't be THAT big. I don't have time for a real calculation, but using Mids' average damage, Arcanatime, not including Build Up, and 100% chance to hit, I get 104 DPS for Incinerate -> Scorch -> Cremate -> Scorch, and 110 DPS for Incinerate -> Greater Fire Sword -> Cremate -> Scorch.

I did it too and only got about a 5% differents.

He knows(well I knew) he was just saying that the different is not that big even if you don't use Arcanatime. Arcanatime will just make your DPS lower not higher because you are adding more time to your attack chain. The differents of the DPS chains should be the same if you use Arcanatime time or not.

Yes, I saw that. And I suppose I'm being a little defensive because your incorrect numbers showed that the attack chain I suggested sucked for DPS when it doesn't. In any case, as Broken Prey suggests, Arcanatime is a difference, but it isn't THE difference. Ignoring Arcanatime, I have Incinerate -> Scorch -> Cremate -> Scorch at 119 DPS (just like you), and Incinerate -> Greater Fire Sword -> Cremate -> Scorch at 122 DPS (vs. your 153 DPS). Again, not much difference. I would suggest that you made a mistake, not merely failed to include Arcanatime.

Now, granted, I'm not calculating DPS correctly either. I didn't check if Mids' was handling the Fire DoTs correctly. I didn't use a 95% chance to hit. I didn't take into account the Build Up cycle. I didn't take into account the Hasten cycle. I didn't check if there was enough recharge to run the chains while Hasten was down, or even while it was up. I ignored Fury generation. If someone wants to take the time (I can't be bothered with those stupid things ), that would be great. But I think you'll find that the two chains do similar DPS no matter how correctly we calculate it.

The Incin>Scorch>Cremate>Scorch chain dps was previously calculated to be ~170dps in a thread a couple months ago. I was wondering how much of a dps difference, and how much recharge would be needed to drop the second Scorch (Incin>Scorch>Cremate> repeat)?

Also, was looking back in FM/- threads to try to find the dps of the Incin>GFS>Cremate chain, but couldn't locate it. Anyone remember? I, like Werner, prefer simple attack chains.

in another post somewhere not in the mood to search, but anyways i have a build that i posted that runs gfs>incin>cremate>fs with these numbers in each attack:80%acc/rech and 96% dmg/end red. the most expensive things in the build would be the 5 lotg rech's and numina/miracle uniques.
the build has fsc with i think 5-6slotted. it utilzes ss because i like that as a travel power but if you were to ditch ss/flurry and got sj instead you could get aid other/self and have that take the fsc slots.
