Adding Player name to dialogue?

I was wondering how I get the contacts to actually refer, by name, to the person doing the mission. Also, how do I add color (like when referencing EB's and AV's)?

Try my AE Arc: Out of Place, Out of Time ID#304340.
Leave your Arc title in the feedback and I will check yours out as well.

$name

Also useful is $himher and $heshe

As in "It's $name! Ger $himher before $heshe gets away!" There's other $ tags you can use (for origin, archtype, etc) but those are the most common.

For color, I believe you highlight the text and right click on it to bring up a text options pop-up with color and italic/bold/size/etc tags. I've done it but the details are slipping my mind.

I use $name for that. You can also use stuff like $origin and so.

My mistake, it is just $name

You can see more of the $ tags at the bottom of the tips & tricks section here.

This is correct, however not every field has this option.

Note the difference between $name and $target.

$name will insert a player name the mob is "aware" of, usually the team leader.

$target is more useful in "Boss Kills Player" text and the like. Like the same speeches in non-AE content, it fires when the boss kills imps, pets, and such. It will announce the specific name of the mob or player the boss has targeted.
