Advice on Katana/SR Scrapper

Hi, this is my first Katana/ST Scrapper. Please comment on my choice of powers and slotting. Some specific questions:

1. I am torn between getting "Call of the Wolf". As a scrapper it may seem useful when teaming with blasters and defenders, but on a full team with tank and controls, it seems like I wouldn't use it often.
2. Is "Practiced Brawler" good? It seems useful, so should I get it earlier than I do? In general, I try to get the powers in order that they are available, but it seemed less useful than the others.
3. Is Shiruken good or lame? I'm primarly a blaster/defender player, so having a range attack seems good as well as being thematic for my character, but it's also a slot I can use for "Calling of the Wolf" or something else.

You are a scrapper, not a tank. Let the blaster take care of his own agro issues, or the tank should be.

If you like being mezz'd, held, knocked back or generally taken out of commission then you can push back practiced brawler. But you should have 2 recharges and have PB your auto target.

1. You don't need it. You generate hate by attacking stuff. That's a far better way of protecting teammates than a single target taunt power like Call of the Wolf. Skip it. Also, if something is attacking a teammate, kill it.

2. You need to grab practiced brawler at level 10. Slot it with 2 recharge enhancements (SOs or better) so it's perma (on all the time). It's your mez protection and scrappers are little more than melee blasters without it.

3. Shuriken is fine. I have it but only to finish off runners. It's also a decent power to put in IO sets for global bonuses.

Ok now that I have more time and looked at your build here are some thing to do.

- Def numbers. With being /SR you have def with just SO it is around 30% which is great. 45% is the number you would like to aim for it is called the soft capped.

-I think you have too many attacks. you don't need Sting of the Wasp and Gambler's Cut. While Sting does more damage Gambler's cut is the better DPS attack. The best Attack chain for Kat is Golden Dragonfly>Gambler's Cut>Soaring Dragon>Gambler's Cut.

- Divine Avalanche is a great power because of the +def it gives. But with most build at lvl 50 it is not need because of the Soft Cap.

-small one but evasion should be taken at lvl 35 because it is your def power to AoE and you don't have much till then.

-you have dodge 6 slotted, I don't like it because it is an auto the slot/IO are better to put in Focused Senses or Evasion because they are toggles.

-I don't like to 6 slot purples because they are over kill for Damage, it goes way into ED. I like to take out the Dam/rech in them.

-You should take PB at lvl 10. When you get quickness you really only need 1 SO in to make it perma.

You'll need Practiced Brawler, period. If you want to be a semi-Tank, go for the AoE taunt from the Presence pool (though I'd still advise against it!).

Shurikin is okay. Ranged is decent. You can pull with it, finish off runners, etc. It's also a decent mule for IO sets.

Hey thanks for all the advice.

I've tweaked the build. Main changes were to get Practiced Brawler earlier, take out Divine Avalanche, take Assault as my last power and then change up the slotting a little (as well as tweak some of the enhancement sets I used to get as high DEF as possible). Does this look better?
