Congratulations to HeadCutter on a succesful Sunday Night Ship Raid! Well done, and thanks to everyone who came out!

I heard that the severs will be down for maintenance tonight. if this is the case, AEA Event "Task Force Ragnarok" will be postponed until Tuesday (9/1) at 8 PM.

I was in the RV last night for the post ship raid action and disturbed to see AEA personnel attacking each other. As it was not a planned event, I suppose that is what you get in a PvP zone, but I hope that AEA personnel participating in the "Task Force Ragnarok" Event will abide by the cross-faction truce for the duration of the event. The rules are intended to maximize EVERYONE'S badge-hunting, Redside AND Blueside.

Blokey, can I count on you as a Redside Mod and leader, to keep Redside in line for the Event?

I'm all for events and other such things for AE Anon, but I would like to point out that, yes, it is a PvP zone, and you will get people attacking each other for PvP, especially when it's not an event night. It's nothing personal, it's just how it goes.

RV is one of the few zones I poke my head into to mess around with PvP. There's usually at least one or two other people in there, and there's a minigame you can keep busy with if other people don't want to fight. Much better than Arena (hard to set up and get people interested), or BB (hate that level cap...) or Siren's (just don't like the layout).

My understanding is that the servers will be up at 8 PM tonight, (Monday 8/31), and so the "Task Force Ragnarok" Event will be occurring as originally scheduled.

Still waiting to hear from AEA Redside personnel as to whether they agree to the terms of the Event.

As to non AEA personel inzone, I expect that. I just don't expect there to be enough to signifigantly impede a major AEA force. If AEA personnel turn out for this like they do for the Sunday Ship Raid, we WILL own the zone.

One might say that "Task Force Ragnarok" was a less than stellar Event. Thanks to all the Heroes and Villains who came out and abided by the conventions of the Event. However, PvPers come to PvP zones to PvP, and will do so, and it seems that no amount of planning, publicizing or patient explanation will restrain them.

In the future, events requiring cross-faction cooperation will be relegated to zones that enforce it. Calling for truce is worse than useless as it leads to rancor and bitterness. Now I know better.

I hope to see everyone in the RWZ for the Sunday Rikti Ship Raid.

PvP isn't co-op or coin OP- no quarter.

Yeah, the RV didn't go too well. Sorry I disappeared part way through. Parents started yelling at me for something or other that I did and didn't let me back on afterwards.

How'd redside fare anyway?

If we do do that again, (which I would LOVE ) we should set it up so that we do redside one night, and then blueside the next or vice versa. Part of the problem was the redside people sitting around being bored and taking back pillboxes. Plus somebody on blueside with some tactics for the +percep might help.

And how is 3 teams worth of Heroes not enough to take down like 4 villains?

Although I do have some screenies of an all villain dance party under atlas and some pics of heroes taking down AVs. I'll upload em in a minute.
