Solo Blaster needs AE needs help.
You should search for missions that have the solo-friendly tag on them, and then check to make sure they don't have any archvillains or elite bosses in them. Look for missions that have standard groups (rather than custom groups). There are lots of story-based arcs using the standard groups.
(I can't believe how many arcs say they're solo-friendly and still have AVs in them.)
Also, what challenge level are you running at? If you're running solo in AE and having trouble you should probably be running on Heroic.
I also notice your two blasters have primary power sets with very little mitigation in them. Fire has no mitigation at all (unless you count the slow in Rain of Fire), and archery only has Stunning Shot and Explosive Arrow. When soloing a blaster you need to have a different mind set -- you have to incapacitate the mobs because you can't soak up the damage. You need to either kill the mobs so fast that they can't attack, or hold, stun or knock them back so they can't attack.
With Ice you have a hold. With Energy you have lots of Knockback. With Sonics you have a sleep, a stun and a knockback power.
With the Archery/MM you should be sure to have Telekinetic Thrust and use that on anyone who gets close to you. You might also lead with Explosive Arrow to knock them down.
With Fire/Ice use Chillblain as often as possible to immobilize them, then duck around a corner so that the immobilized mobs can't attack you. The others will follow. In this way you minimize the number of mobs that can attack you at one time.
I'm going to suggest my own arc, Tailor Made, as it's short and easy and designed for levels 20-29. It's villainous, but don't let that stop you.
Tailor Made
Arc ID: 258291
Levels: 20-29
Length: 2 missions, 10-30+ minutes (depending on optional objectives)
Description: The Facemaker has serious problems due to the terrible economy, threats from The Family, and alarming new competition. (quick arc for lowbies or 20s villains who like to smash things)
I've soloed it more times than I can count on my own characters, including my 20s blaster.
My arcs are designed to be soloable and lowbie-friendly. They use Longbow and Security Guards, so they will scale to your level.
All of the arcs played in my thread here are played as a solo controller. Though a controller might be a bit safer than a blaster in some cases. I also tend to list the level range and enemy groups and point out in the review if I ran into any serious problems.
Your fire/ice might want to consider picking up Ice Patch. While it's a PbAoE with a fairly long activation time, it can be useful in corner-pulling.
Another thing you can do is choose an enemy group that your blasters do well against (Warriors are pretty weak at range, for instance) and search for that group. Also, stick to arcs of your level. Higher-level enemies have more HP, higher resistances, and higher damage, which can be brutal for a blaster that doesn't have the high-end powers, slots, IO sets and mitigation tools to handle it.

Wow, all the wonderful help. Thanks, thanks, and more thanks. I am having fun with this Blaster, and don't want to give her up. I guess I need to let her sit for a while and build up some bars of Patrol XP. Being killed is not so bad if there is no debt attached.
Rodion-Thanks for the info about needing mitigration in the primary. I thought Chillblain, Icepatch, and Shiver, in my Ice secondary was enough for my level, but since I don't know Blasters, I guess I was wrong . ..hmmm ... the ability to kill with the swiftness of the wind might be a mitigration in this combo's primary...in that case I need to make sure my damage is maxed out, and my endurance can handle it...sort of like my Fire/Fire scrapper ...hmmmm.
Anachrodragon, BBQ Pork, And BubbaWheat. I have your arc numbers, and names, written down in my AE notebook. I will run them, and, thanks for sharing
EvaDestruction-I sure do have Ice Patch. I took it before I took Stamina
Ice Patch is my funnest, and most effective, staying alive power.
Oh, and I am on Heroic with this Blaster, and have no plans to change.
Again, thanks so very much everyone.

Hello everyone. I have played Scrappers almost all my 30 months here, but an ingame friend pointed out that I need to play Blasters. So, I created an Archery/MM on Infinity, and dusted off one of my first toons, a Fire/Ice on Victory.
The two are both level 28, and both do wonderfully in reg missions and streethunting, but as soon as I go into AE missions solo, it is not a pretty sight.
This morning my Fire/Ice went into an AE mission, and died so many times in that mission it was sad. I then took her into a Croatoa mission, the one involving saving the Ghosts from the Witches, and she came close to death only two times, and one of those times can be blamed on my cat.
Anyone here have any good arcs for a level 28 almost 29 Fire/Ice blaster who is decked out in common IOs, or have any hints on how to find a Blaster friendly arc??? I am not looking for easy, just doable
I would stay out of the AE, but, but, I love my ticket rolls
Thank you all
Lisa.
And Edited to say I just saw what I did to my thread title, and that is something I cannot fix.....was in tooo big a hurry I guess.
