Two sided question:

One-What kind of information did it keep track of anyway? I joined the game shortly before they seemed to "go down", and never understood just what they kept track of.

Two-What the heck ever happened to them? Are they offline, or is it something wrong on my end as to why they contain no information?

IIRC, it kept track of who had the most kills, the most healing, the most damage, etc.

Yes, they've been offline for a while now.

They were always bugged anyways. I actually tested it once, spent an hour killing and counting Hellions, my count was twice the "high" number, and I wasn't even on the list, it didn't change at all in fact. I think that data was populated at some point, then they realized that they were never used and stopped collecting the data, leaving a freeze frame until they finally took them out entirely.

Which list were you looking at? One list counted kills and another listed some different status - maybe damage done. Also, if the Hellions were grey to you, they might not count.

FYI, every time I checked, they worked fine, including kills. I did an 8-man Synapse and then a clockwork arc one day and was #1 on that list. I also used to track heal farming, since we didn't have exact numbers on our badge progress bars back then.
