RV KB Protection

I was wondering if someone can help me out, I'm trying to figure out how the KB works in RV. I have a Blessing, Steadfast and a small Kb protection worth 11 points total. But when i enter RV I look at my stats and it shows I only have 3.7 points of protection. Am I missing something. Thanks

See Diminishing Returns. Yea, I know. It pissed on all of us, except for maybe the Blasters. You'll need at least 35 KB protection if you want to be safe from Levitate.

this is what mine looks like ..i have 4 karmas in me..i never get knocked back..not from knock out blow or anything in all of rv .well that i have met yet anyways

but...this is what it looks like in pvp..dont be too concerned with it.

My ninjitsu has 36 points of KB protection, that puts me above the KB of levitate, but really it depends on the server your on. If your on a smaller server, its easier to manage the small amount of people attacking you, placate the ones with KB etc. On servers like freedom where ill have anywhere from 2 to 7 people on me i usually have one mind dom or KB type floating around.

Some quick checks:

The two bad KB mags are 12.5 and 16.6, slotted to 34.5 and and 45.5? respectively.

Its best to have 35+ protection from KB without Acro becuase, while power thrust, tk thrust and power push aren't common but levitate from mind control is.

The abovementioned kb attacks would still slice through that, Powerthrust, levitate etc... I think heroes have to worry more about being kb'd than villains however. The only kb you are bound to come across often is powerthrust; and if you're quick you can avoid that most of the time.

Thankfully this is not true, though for what reason I'm not sure. I tested KB protection with someone recently. He slotted 7 KB IO's and had a +3 bonus from PvP IO's, for a total protection of 31. We tested with lift, which has the same kb mag as levitate. I slotted 6 KB IO's into lift, had him turn off acro, and used it on him. He was never knocked up. Based on this test I've slotted for mag 31 protection on my current blaster (mag not including acro) and have never been held/levitated ever again, on Freedom no less. It may be a bug, but IMO its a good one.

I play a controller and the only thing I have trouble with are the doms with levitate, but looking at your pic its says u have +16 from karma, but then it says KB protection 4.7. So what numbers do i go by that's whats confusing me. BTW thanks to everyone for the help so far.

Go by the face value, KB resist and KB DR at the same rate as far as anyone can tell, so calculating the DR values is pointless.

I would be curious to see what happens to someone with varying from 13 and up KB prot vs slotted lift. Lift didn't seem to be working quite right for me, although when I was using it, the zone was quite hectic and I could have missed something.

I'll have to test it, but according to hamster man; lift/levitate = 16.6 base , 6 slotted = 38.6 so, 31 points prot = 38 mag thanks to <3 DR curve.

Ill test it sum more when i get a chance to when i get on but this is slightly wierd.

Im guessing the rate is like 1prot:1.2Mag

I love DR, its like a failed 3rd graders math.
