Touch of Death Vs Mako's Bite Procs?
Personally, I think ToD proc is over all better. Lethal is resisted a lot more than negative energy and at a higher percentage. Does it overcome the 5% difference, I'll let the number crunchers answer that one.
All damage procs do the same damage (before resistance). Against most enemies, this means that ToD will do more damage, even with the lower chance to proc.
Two significant groups will laugh at your puny ToD proc, though: Nictus and Council/5th Column. Fully human Council/5th have no Negative resist, but Vampyri, Galaxy, Warwolf, Mekmen, and Hoverbots all do.
Undead and some demons (CoT Spectrals in particular) also strongly resist Negative.
Of course, damage procs should rarely have a major impact on your DPS, so you can usually take whichever helps get the best set bonuses.
The topic is a bit old, but it was the only one that came up when I searched for Mako's bite in the topic, and it is relevant so...
The proc in Mako's bite says it has a 20% chance to fire.
But when I look in the damage chat, I see the power (Boxing) rolls to hit twice, once with 10% hit chance and once with 95%.
Yes, 10. Not 20.
And when the first roll goes between 10% and 20% it does indeed count as a miss.
Has the Mako's bite proc hit chance been reduced to 10% thus?
edit: Oh, I just see that hit roll is not for the bonus damage, but probably for the Disorient effect of Boxing, and the roll for the proc is probably invisible then? IS it really 20% then?
I don't believe proc to-hit rolls show up in your combat chat.
I definitely know that Boxing is supposed to be making two rolls for itself - one for checking to hit (based on your slotting and accuracy bonuses, etc) and one for checking to stun (which is a flat 10% chance).
Edit: Jerk hacker! You edited and posted about the stun percentage while I was typing!

Alot of these procs are irresistable pretty much the non purple ones at least that's what paragon wiki says http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Table_of_Special_IOs
And I use alot of these procs in pvp and im about 98% certain this is indeed true cause of the global resistance givin to all and me seeing these procs fire them doing full damage of what they say. So I would then say the makos one is better because of the 20% chance to fire instead of 15% chance of ToD.
The ToD has a 15% chance vs 20% chance on Mako's Bite. My question is overall, do they deal the same damage or does one out perform the other? Lethal is a little more resisted but not sure if the greater chance to proc makes up for that?
