Electric/Storm VS Fire/Stom
elec looks better with storm powers. aesthetically it is superior. However if your aesthetic is large orange numbers and scouge ticks then fire/storm is the only option. There is more single target and more aoe damage. Elec has utility though which fire almost completely lacks. Fire has a soft control in RoF, but that's it.
Thank you.. thats some good info. trying to balance that Utility vs damage is the tough part.. STORM is already rather utilityish so damage would proly be more useful. i looked and dont seem to think ICE would make a good combo with storm ether. its snowstorm would be nice but it does not look like a good build but i could be wrong.. what is damage of ELECT vs ICE i had just hoped Electric would be helpful to regain some End since the build is so draining
My Ice/Storm Corr is currently 41 and does great damage. You have two rains, three if you count blizzard. I typically don't do anything but build up, then launch Freezing Rain, Ice storm, blizzard a boss if he's there, then stand back and peg off the targets one at a time. the stacking slows means EVERYTHING is attacking you less, and ice offes so many additional control powers that it ALMOST feels like you're playing a controller with blaster powers. The only issue is end useage. I was going to go for Mako as my patron since the cone sharks immobilize would just lock everything into the rains nicely, but I realized after getting the first power of the Mako set that I already had everything SO slowed that the cone immob is just not necessary, where as power sink from Mu would be immensely helpful. Not only that, but Mu Mastery will also give me smashing/lethal/energy resistance, as opposed to smashing/lethal/cold. Since energy is more common than cold, and I already have some defense against cold with steamy mist, it just makes more sense.
That being said, he's a BLAST to play. I would imagine fire would be a faster toon to play when it comes to killing, but also slightly less safe since cold amplifies Storm's controlliness.
Anyone have any thoughts. To me Electric / Storm would FEEL more right and wouldn't it be easier on your end. i see how FR and RoF would be wicked combo.

I don't have a fire/storm (but I do have two lvl 50 storms), but I made a fire/cold before storm was available to corrs and I can tell you that freezing rain (sleet for cold) + rain of fire is one of the best aoe combos in the game with very high damage and high mitigation. And can even be cast from around a corner.
It is usually up at the beginning of every fight too. With the amount rain of fire ends up scourgng it isn't all that much behind Rain of Arrows for an every spawn aoe nuke.

Fire Blast on Corruptor is really strong because RoF scourges and it's based on pet damage, which means Blaster's RoF does the same damage as Corr's minus Scourge bonus.
I kinda like Electricity Blast, at least more than Energy Blast.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
You don't need utility or mitigation in your primary when your secondary is storm. Elec doesn't add anything to /storm other than a matching concept. Fire doesn't "add" much, either, but it'll kill everything A LOT faster.
Freezing Rain, Rain of Fire, Fireball, Fire Breath. Minions are dead, LTs are scourging and about to die, and bosses are flopping around or getting harassed by the brutes/doms. Cycle ST attacks on bosses and fire another fireball to finish off the leftovers.
It comes down to your preference and concept ideas. Hands down Fire is numerically and mechanically superior in just about every scenario.
