Farming: Low Risk High Reward

This is the jist of farming, as I understand things.

I do farm, I have so many alts that I want to play and I am tired of the low level grind, but my missions are some serious high risk.

In fact, no one has managed to live through one of my farm runs (excpet my farmer of course). That makes my mission high risk...right?

OK, my real question is: What risk is there?

There is no debt in AE so if you die...er...well, whoop-dee do!!

Seriously...what risk is there in any AE missions?

Perhaps if XP were removed from AE (hold up: fire proof underwear is around here somewhere).

What I purpose is:

Remove XP from AE missions.
Leave Tickets in AE missions.
Add regular salavage/enhancement/recipe drops to AE missions.

Could this be abused? Sure...but ANYTHING in this game can be abused. Think about how many farms there were before AE. This isn't anything new, it's just easier.

Anyways...that's my thought. Agree? Disagree?

Um, there is debt im AE missions. You're probably not seeing any these days because the new 'Patrol XP' is used and subtracted from before any real debt is applied eiter in the 'real' CoX or AE arcs. Its been like this since patrol XP was added to the game.

Why can't farming maps be incorporated into MA?

You could select a map option to designate a map a farm map. Any farm map that does not select this option gets banned.

A map designated farm has the following restrictions:

Can choose from only standard enemies (no custom enemy groups).

Cannot include the escort, rescue, Ally mission objectives.

Must have 'Kill all Enemies' mission objective.

Can set mob spawn size and amount (roughly).

Ticket/XP penalty or bonus depending on enemy group selected (eg - for Freaks, + for Malta).

This way you could make farms but be unable to get any outside buffs (no custom allies), can't fight nothing but Lts or Bosses and get penalised for picking a weak enemy group. Finally no ticket mission complete bonus until you clear the whole map.

Basically maps with you (or a group) versus a truckload of enemy.

What would be wrong with this? Its your basic "Kill All" mission (which apparently everyone hates in story arcs) except a whole lot more killing.

I'm not sure I follow your line of reasoning. You farm in AE because you're tired of the low-level grinds, but then propose to abolish exp from it.

Besides not following your reasoning, I have no problems with removing XP from the MA. I tend to think massive leveling does nothing except burn people out faster. If you're already tired of most of the missions and just want to get to 50, then .... you're already tired of most of the game. Face up to it and take a break.

I'm tired of the low-level grind, too, but for me the grind is not levelling a toon, it's playing the same missions for the hundred millionth time. So my response to your idea is a big HELL NO!

In AE there are a ton of lowbie friendly non-farm missions I've never run before so I can level up my toons without feeling like I've done all this before. AE is not a playground for 50's, it is alternate content. XP and awards are both integral to it being viable as such.
