Saving Bind Files?

Good people I have a problem I need some help with.

On Scarlet Shocker (and only her oddly) when in combat the number 1 power tray will often switch to 2, 3 or even 4. I use a Belkin Nostromo for playing and there's clearly some kind of keypress/mouse combo that's making it happen but I can't work out exactly what, and it only happens on her.

Thus I suspect it's a keybind problem so I want to go back to basics.

However I don't want to lose all my key binds etc (fly poses etc) so I would like to back up all my binds etc.

Not sure if this is doable but any input/suggestions would be gratefully recieved.

/bindsave is the command you're after, but it would likley save the bad bind too. I'd try /unbind 1 then rebind it using the keymapping interface.

I believ its called /bindsavefile, but not sure if the file has to be added. Then open it with txt editor, remove those u dont need and only the vital ones.

This way i made a core set (like swapping straffing AD with QE), that i load up everytime i make a new toon

/bindsave will save the binds to the defualt keybinds file, you can use /bindsavefile, but it needs you to type out the path to the file you want to save it to, eg.
/bindsavefile "C:\\program files\city of heroes\ScarletBind.txt"

Though you neither need the double slash or the quotes.

Don't you just love the logic behind the commands in the game?

Other question: Are you using the n50 or the n52? n50 has issues where pressing more than three keys results in erroneous keys being pressed. n52 doesn't.

n52

I love it. The only thing I have found with it is that the thumb button sometimes is a bit sensitive.

If you use (you can change "mybinds" for your own use):

/bindsavefile mybinds.txt

It will save the bind as a file in a folder named "Data" in the CoH game folder. If you use:

/bindloadfile mybinds.txt

It will load that same file from that same folder. If you want to load a file from or save a file to a different folder location, then you need to include the full path, unless you use a folder inside the "Data" folder; then you only need the relative path inside the "Data" folder, such as:

/bindsavefile keybinds\mybinds.txt
/bindloadfile keybinds\mybinds.txt
