Shapeshifting stalkers
You've been playing Prototype, haven't you?
Or reading Dune.
Actually neither, I just know shapeshifting to be a fairly common superhero/villain (usually villain) power
It's a nice idea conceptually especially as the temporary Halloween costumes showed that the game can just reference a different character model.
I guess the biggest complaint about it might be the one you hear about Kheldians which is that you never get to see the great costume you spent so much time preparing.

Yep and the Midnight Visage allows you change into another character too.
To be honest, while hide is activated you barely see your wonderful costume anyway.
This would certainly appeal to the sort of people who wanted to play arachnos and finally got to, however.
Of course unlike Kheldians, this isnt an entire AT, if you want to play a stalker that you want to view your costume on for most of the time, you wouldnt choose this set. Its essentially not unlike Granite Tankers and Brutes, its just one set where you would have to accept not being able to see your costume.
On a 3rd note, because shapeshift would work the same as hide, upon attacking you would see your own costume anyway, so probably more often than you would see a Kheldian's costume.
I had this really great idea for a stalker secondary set, could also perhaps have the feature in powerpools.
Instead of 'Hide' as the 1st power, you could have 'Shapeshift'
While shapeshifted in a mission you would take the form of one of the minions of the enemy there, only to be revealed after attacking.
Outside in the gameworld you would take the form of a civilian or military general (which is a classic) or something along those lines.
Would be a really great way to incorporate this missing (and very typical) power.
I havnt put much thought into how the rest of the stalkers set would look, but it could lend from willpower and swift reflexes, alternatively adopting a shapeshifting ability to make tougher skin or something.
Thanks
