  1. Actually i made a post about this a few hours ago :P

Same deal with epic power pools which nobody seems to have realised, yet its a big thing that will put me off from wanting to change color of my sets if these arent changable also.

It's a nice idea conceptually especially as the temporary Halloween costumes showed that the game can just reference a different character model.

I guess the biggest complaint about it might be the one you hear about Kheldians which is that you never get to see the great costume you spent so much time preparing.

Yep and the Midnight Visage allows you change into another character too.

To be honest, while hide is activated you barely see your wonderful costume anyway.
This would certainly appeal to the sort of people who wanted to play arachnos and finally got to, however.

Of course unlike Kheldians, this isnt an entire AT, if you want to play a stalker that you want to view your costume on for most of the time, you wouldnt choose this set. Its essentially not unlike Granite Tankers and Brutes, its just one set where you would have to accept not being able to see your costume.

On a 3rd note, because shapeshift would work the same as hide, upon attacking you would see your own costume anyway, so probably more often than you would see a Kheldian's costume.

    Colours !

I dont know, but the power pools arent in the list of sets that are customisable. So I dont think they will be.

Ive made a suggestion to do something about that if you would like to comment though.

If it really isnt something we can change its kinda dissapointing (and makes the feature less useful) for the reasons I mention in my post.
  4. Its great to see this feature implemented, but I wonder if its too much to ask for the power pools (plus ancillary/patron) to be customisable too?

For example: Id plan to make my electric weilding brute use yellow electric, however its patron electric powers would still be red? This would seriously compromise the effect.

Same deal with my fire blaster, if i changed its colors, both hasten and the fire ancillary powers would then be the wrong color, and it would look strange.

I hope this is taken into consideration

    Thankyou
  5. Actually neither, I just know shapeshifting to be a fairly common superhero/villain (usually villain) power
  6. I had this really great idea for a stalker secondary set, could also perhaps have the feature in powerpools.

Instead of 'Hide' as the 1st power, you could have 'Shapeshift'

While shapeshifted in a mission you would take the form of one of the minions of the enemy there, only to be revealed after attacking.

Outside in the gameworld you would take the form of a civilian or military general (which is a classic) or something along those lines.

Would be a really great way to incorporate this missing (and very typical) power.

I havnt put much thought into how the rest of the stalkers set would look, but it could lend from willpower and swift reflexes, alternatively adopting a shapeshifting ability to make tougher skin or something.

    Thanks

    Power colors

Funny thing is, a few years ago they said "never gonna happen, too much work to pretty much completely rewrite the powers code"!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why is that funny? If true its a little dissapointing. I would have assumed it something simple to do anyway.

anyhow sorry if this is a common request, im new to the game so wouldnt know that, so sorry for wasting your time.

    Power colors

With costumes in this game is fun to be able to design our character as we want them. We can design them based on a theme and give them costume colors that we choose. However there is one limiting factor to this: Powers!

Powers are in no way customisable. If I design a villain character that uses electricity, wearing a yellow themed costume, I feel that it is a little limiting that it would suddenly start using red colored electricty. why cant I use yellow bolts of lightning?

Additionally to this I find it a little frustrating that certain powers of the same type are also colored differently. If I make an energy/energy blaster, my ranged attacks will be blue, while the melee ones, red. This makes it hard to make any kind of themed character based around the powers.

My suggestion is simple. Make at least 4-6 color choices for powers. Just a simple change of hue on each relevant power set, (not individual powers). This should take customisation to a greater level!

Also there is an extra thought. Certain graphical buffs should be be able to be turned off. Notably the white smokey effect you get on hover and fly. If a character has wings they dont need some magical aura to make them fly. magical auras can be added later on anyway.

    Thanks
  9. Thats just what im looking for, thanks!
  10. Hi, im new to the game, and decided to choose dominator to start with.

The thing is im not sure what the differences are with all the power sets. I keep hearing peoples saying one powerset is better for some things than others. I also dont know how one affects the other in terms of the control and assault sets. Maybe give me some ideas of good mixes?

So far ive chosen gravity with fire assault, is that any good? I chose it for asthetics only, so i dont know if its a useful spec.
I have been wondering to try fire with fire, but is it better to mix them?

Any help or advice would be great, but please could you not use CoX abbreviations, I am new and havnt learnt the lingo yet :P.

    Thanks
