For the love of... get rid of forced "talk to X"

You're in a 8-man team redside, people are closing to 15ish and are doing regular contact missions.

Then you hit 15 and are introduced to a new contact.

"Go talk to Seer Marino, lol." and you're sent from Cap to Mercy to hear for the 1500th time about 'her poor Paolo'. At this point some people are asking "what are we doing now?" and someone might excuse himself "kkthxgogogo bye"

Not enough unnecessary talking? Want more? Well after that you're supposed to go talk to that bloody BB lolPvP contact "yeas it are vari dangriousaes wutch ut fr alienz LOL LORD RECLUSE HATES YOU OBEY NOW"

tl;dr

Get rid of "talk to" introducions, if a contact has to be introduced, do it like when the AE guy is introduced or when you unlock some contact.

To Be honest with you that problem is easyerly solved why dont you tell them what you are doing?

i rather have a complete overhall, it's really annoying that every time you want to do a small mission, you HAVE to do the news paper thing,
there is not even one NPC who gives you a quest or mission because that person needs you to do that, only one guy knowing the other and others are closed up.
it's in every RPG game, this is a super hero RPG and everything is just so dull.

I agree with the sentiment of the OP but that you didn't communicate that you had two talk missions is not the games fault of course.

But yes, get rid of Talk to X or give an option: I rather not.

Or make it account wide, did it once, you don't ever have to do that again.

I'm not good at giving advice, can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

I wish I had the chat logs, but I actually did tell the team what we were doing. Three of us who had dinged 15 on the last mish got stuck with these talk missions so it's pretty much sense to get these over with so we can start on the Marshal Brass arc which gives you the ouro portal and goldbricker jetpack.

Thing is, it was pretty much a PuG and even if you tell them to go make a sandwich, do a bio break, these talk missions are still so irritating that the average PuGger will have their ADD kick in and quit, just because "nothing is happening" which I can't really help.

If I waste 2 minutes wasting 7 other guys' 2 minutes, that's 16 minutes lost total. Minutes that cost REAL MONIES.

Personally, I'd work on an overhaul of all the contacts/missions system. For free. Because I honestly think I could do a better job of it, and I'm at that much of a loss right now I'm serious, NC, if you're listening.

Anyhow, amen. ENOUGH of the BS talk to missions. /Signed

'Go and speak with Seer Marino' -> 'drop mission'

This. Most definitely, this.

ESPECIALLY if the follow-up is "Travel across 4 zones to tell a contact (whose cellphone number you had 8 levels ago but is strangely no longer working) that no, you're not interested in buying his mum's Vauxhall Vectra, and will he PLEASE stop bugging EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR ALTS about it.

If you're not going to drop or overhaul the way the missions are constructed and distributed, at least give us a much more flexible and frequent means of dropping them.

Would love this
Would also love an extra option when you get this mission: "I'd rather not." Got it off another thread and it wouldn't count towards your dropped mission per day.

Yes, I'm quite proud of that suggestion, I wish they'd impliment it!
