Yeah you'll have to remake sorry. Only characters under level 5 can start a pact. Otherwise anybody can get a free 50 by making an alt and joining a pact with a level 50 [yes would be even easier than now

I think i read somewhere that as soon as an account is inactive then the pact is broken. Though it was from a player poster though so not 100% sure.
Would make sense to have it like that though, CS might be able to re-activate the pact though if it was active long enough. No promises though!

The "instant breaking on inactive account" issue is pure player guesswork. We do not know for sure, and have never had Redname confirmation one way or another. To maximise your chances of not breaking the pact (if it doesn't work that way) - don't log into your CoH account until your fiancee's account is reactivated.

Thanks for your responces. I've petitioned to ask if there is any way to aviod it being broken.
If i don't hear back from them i'll try what you suggested Shadowe just to see if i'm lucky enough for that to work.

For what it's worth, I have two accounts and have a toon on one pacted to one on the other. I accidentally let the sub on one account drop and only noticed when I tried to log in to it - when I resubbed and got back into the account, the characters were still subbed.
I don't know if there's a time limit, or it's to do with whether both parties have tried to log in, or whether it's just buggy, but it doesn't always seem to remove the toons from the pact.
One of my accounts was inactive for a while, and none of my pacts broke.

it must be bugged. A petition reply said it would break instantly, yet i re-active them and the leveling pact is still there.
I love it when the GM is so sure of an answer and gets it wrong

Hmmm, I could think of three conditions that might lead to an instant breaking of a pact:
1. Account of pact partner goes inactive.
2. Pacted toon is logged in while the account of the pact partner is inactive.
3. Pacted toon earns xp while the account of the pact partner is inactive.
Number 1 does not seem to be the case, so if a pact does break at all it is probably due to condition 2 or 3. Unfortunately testing this would require two accounts with one of these running out. Meh!

I did test this, sorry i must not have been clear enough in my last post so i'll reword better. This may not be true in all cases however it was true in mine.
1.) If you don't log on that character the pact stays
2.) If you log onto that character but do not gain any xp (ie you both stay at the same exact xp) the pact stays
3.) If you log onto that character and then earn xp, the pact will break. I was clever and used my level 4s to test this so they can be re-pacted

Me and my fiances charactors are mostly in level pacts, we have 3 currently
Level 33 ones
Level 8 ones
and level 4 ones (on union
Her account runs out today at about 6pm, which as far as i know breaks any leveling pacts. The account will then be re-activated at midnight which is when my money comes into my bank account. So the account will only be down for about 6 hours.
My questions are
Is there a time limit to when all pacts are broken (eg if not re-active within 24 hours) or are they all broken instantly?

Do you think if we petition and ask really nicely there will be some way that the pacts can be saved due to her account being down for that little time?
