They will not* pull the AE system (That most people here refer to as MA, Mission Architect), as they've put so much into it that it would be akin to saying "we were totally wrong with this ground-breaking feature that we've invested pretty much everything in", so you're safe on that point.
Positron has said that anyone who's been exceptionally abusing MA to powerlevel their character may lose access to them for some undetermined time. He hasn't said anything about what constitutes the abuse, so from everyone who's ever played 1 farming map with Rikti Comms Officers up to everyone who's taken a toon from level 1 - 50 in X number of hours/days could conceivably be in trouble.
I'd say carry on for a month - perhaps try a regular levelling for a new toon - and see what happens. 24 levels may count as abusive powerlevelling, or the cap may be anything over 25, 30, or 50: we just don't know.
Which is part of the problem.

It would sure be nice if some kind of representative of Paragon Studios would come and shed some light on this issue, so that all is made clear us, the players. Hint, hint. 
The MA System is one of CoH's flagship innovations - it is highly unlikely that it will be pulled wholesale.

Remove the word "probably" and replace it with "might, maybe, perhaps, if customer services really do slam down hard, which they might not". And if you're nervous about losing arc slots... just unpublish those missions. Problem solved.

As the other posters have said it's extremely unlikely the MA system would be pulled.
As for worrying about characters being deleted - if it happens then it happens, but I don't think the Devs will be too draconian - they'll just want to make examples of the most persistent offenders.
The main thing is that if you enjoy the gameplay then its worth sticking around - if you don't then it's not. If losing your character worries you that much then just make a new character and play that instead.
Just get another month perhaps and see how it goes - you can't really predict what will happen in MMOs these days. I've played MMOs where the entire gameplay style changed overnight with a single patch (EQ2) and my friend played one where overnight he effectively lost a character he'd played for years (SWG). The Devs here have made sweeping changes, but they haven't been quite as bad as that yet.

To the OP:
I seriously cannot see you having any problem with your account or characters as a result of the game you've played so far.
Posi announced what they might do - but they are all to aware that this is an emotive subject and they aren't going to smack the (for want of a better phrase) "casual farmer." That would hurt their revenue stream far more than just about anything else they could do.
Their target will be the professional farmer, somebody who goes out of their way to create farming missions that exploit the game. That means several toons on a single account gotten to 50 and maybe 2 or 3 published missions that are blatant farms.
There is no way that the MA will be pulled - and in fact I suspect many other MMOs are looking at this quite closely to see what Paragon Studios actually do - but the MA is actually a flagship in NC Soft's portfolio. If they pull it they'd look like the biggest bunch of [censored] in the industry - but almost certainly ongoing tweaks will happen.
Personally I'd say just relax, play your own game and enjoy it for what it is.

I agree it'd make them look a bit stupid. But worst in the industry? That'd be the video game industry? When they announce a sequel to this game, then take 12years to not make it, and then close their doors, then they might, maybe, be in contention for that title. Maybe.

I think they'll go after the 50-in-3-hours players first, RueSteel - they're the absolute worst abusers of the MA.
But just to be on the safe side, I suggest you avoid MA missions until the devs give more info on those who have displeased them

Hi,
My sub gets renewed tomorrow but I am not sure what to do now.
I have a level 46 MM that was lvl 22 when I re-sub'ed to check out the Architect but I fell into the temptation of farming teams and did level him up on riki maps as well as some missions. Even got 2 levels on my old 36 scrapper on farms. Now that I will probably loose access to my MM and cannot risk even using the AE system as all the missions that I have made involved custom bosses and Lt's only with no minions and gave great xp.
These will probably be deemed farming missions and I have repeatedly played them myself for the great xp. (high risk but great xp means a great mission in my view).
With no idea of what is allowed or what makes it farming I cannot see how to use the AE system at the current time. I think it might be best to unsub and wait and what happens about the use of the AE system and what characters are having access removed/demoted/etc. It seems risky to carry on with sub given that I might loose access to my characters and will then have paid for a full month again.
Anyone seen anything on when a statement might be made and if the AE system will be pulled?
