Fast XP
I would recommend you slow down and take some time to enjoy what the game has to offer instead of just instantly trying to get to level 50. This game's about the journey to 50, not level 50 itslef.
But to answer you question, the best way to do it non-farming is to play some radio/newspaper missions with a team
My goal isnt to rush to 50, just to speed things up a little. *dreaming of flying*
"Fast XP" and "solo-player" are mutually exclusive, really.
If you have an AoE based build you can street sweep through most of the levels, look for groups with just minions and ltns in, take them down fast and move on.
Its what I did on my Spine/Invul scrapper when I got to level 32 and I was level 50 within 10 days. Teaming missions are faster, but you dont get big enough spawns solo for an AoE character solo.
If you ST based you can do well ghosting Radio/Paper missions and just taking down the boss room, 1-50 in under 60 hours of play for my BS/SR doing just that. It was boring though, but I wanted to see how it worked out.
Mostly its quicker to team though
"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"
You can increase your XP/time by increasing your challenge level at a Fateweaver, but naturally that makes things more difficult.
Challenge Level 1: Enemies are your level. Bosses downgrade to Lieutenants.
Challenge Level 2: Enemies spawn as if there is one more person on your team - so if you're solo you'll get enemies as if you were a duo.
Challenge Level 3: All enemies are 1 level higher than you.
Challenge Level 4: Enemies spawn as if there is one more person on your team, and all enemies are 1 level higher than you.
Challenge Level 5: All enemies are two levels higher than you. When solo on other difficulty levels Arch-Villains/Heroes will degrade to Elite Bosses, but on this difficulty they stay as AVs!
10 feels like a little early to be increasing your difficulty, but if you're having a very easy time of things it could be worth a shot.
"The Hamidon is a what what of what?" - Brian the mission guy.
Remember, this game has NO ENDGAME. There is NO REASON to hurry to get to level 50. Enjoy the ride up, team a bit with others and just enjoy the ride.
However, there is a very fast way to get to level 50. Join a farm team. It is however, a sure way to not enjoy the game. My advice is, don't do it, until you have a few 50's under your build and want to play something else and you want to pass the content you have done before.
If you want to speed up things, start teaming. You will get xp much faster almost regardless of what you do and it is generally more fun also.

I´m currently at level 10 on my very first character wich I started to play a week ago. I´ve been doing all the missions my contacts give me and now i´m wondering if that is the fastest way to get xp or does it go faster if i just go on a killing-spree?
Almost forgot to mention that i´m a solo-player.
