place your bets, what's going missing this time?

The main problem with having things sell for less is that there will be less competitions about.
I'ld say 70% of my influence for competitions was made from selling drops, now the prizes will be MUCH lower. I dont think we'll see many 100mill + competitions for a while now from anyone.

But it directly feeds itself, if the recipes are cheaper why do you need 100 million, when you can win 10 million say if its worth the same, in credit. If recipes decrease in value, so does the value of infamy/influence therefore so long as there directly related, it isn't that bad.

Thats a very good point, but with most competitions its a case of getting a high value of prizes to attract the most amount of people. I remember about 2 months ago, someone was holding a 1 mill competition and people on broadcast was actually lolin at it. To the player that was a lot of money, to the vast amount its not though.
If prizes are kept low you wont see as many people take part sadly. Though i see what you mean its just a fact that the higher the prize usually = the higher the amount of people.

Yes but there's a flash flood at the moment give it a month or two to settle down before calling on changes

As much as you could be validly correct, I must disagree since the contraints providing this 'flashflood' will always be here, therefore I do believe if the market continues in it's sinking of value, that even if it plateaus off as you point out, this plateau may actually be inevitably awful to the economy and value of pretty much all valuables.

And its when it hits this plateau that they should then revaluate the market. there's also the fact if market prices drop to fat people will begin to sell at the stores meaning that supply will again start to drop (tho probably not by a huge amount)
So the MA is exploitable. Was that a surprise?
So it continues to be exploitable? Was that a surprise?
So there's always gonna be some sort of "exploit"? Is that really a surprise?
Now, the MA is new, so it will take a lot of data mining and tweaking to balance it with the market etc. In time they should get it right, but there's always gonna be ways of "exploiting" stuff in-game, like Ouroboros and different ways of PLing. Now you can choose to view this in two ways:
1. D00m, the MA is a disaster, from the start or long whine about it being nerfed back into nothingness
2. Ok so it's not perfect, but still, wow, we get to do our own story arcs and it's gien us more content than we've had since the start in a feew days (admittedly 99.99999% is so crappy you get annoyed you wasted time on it).
This is probably the most complex content patch ever, and I'm personally surprised we haven't seen more downtime. I just wish we got the "improved stability" traditional patch, not to mention more-real-content I15 patch, and a proper search interface for the MA with bookmarks/favourites, but...
As far as the MA goes I'm quite impressed about what we can do even if people are abusing it wildly. Sure I was annoyed when my shield generators where removed, but that was just logical. If it does continue too long, I do understand people getting upset, but so far the changes have been ok.
and honestly, can you see people grinding tickets as madly as now in the long run? I'd rather do a bunch of ITFs any day than play MA just for the tickets.
..come to think of it... I'm wasting time here... back to the game!
I suppose there is no chance of the annoying chat bug being fixed with today's patch, is there?
