I've dual boxed with 2 brutes, scrapper and defender, tanker and defender, nothing reward orientated, just to differentiate between "the way people do things" and "the way people could do things".

a buff + dps combo is nice combo for when dual boxxing.If you wanna step it up a notch and your machine can hadle it could try triple or quad boxing by using 3 AoE and one buffer setup or 2 aoe 2 buffers setup.Lots carnage.The tricky part is setting up a working combination through echo software as well as the necessary macros to sync the echo software running.

Hmm I like the sound of that. Had a fire / fire brute called "Temper Temper" (stroppy teenage girl concept), so may adapt this to a scrapper, and I've always been a fan of the sonic blast set (shouting at your foes to defeat them just seems to sit rather well with me for some reason 
), but never tried the buffs version.
I did also toy with the idea of earth /* troller set up too - lots of AoE lockdown would be very nice for a big AoE toon like a fire scrapper, but I suppose a /fire toon isn't going to have too much trouble keeping groups close together. Earth / FF maybe - can't remember if Sonic buffs are a troller secondary or not off the top of my head.
I actually run two machines when I am dual boxing, and with a bit of concentration I can actually play both characters at the same time, which is only usually required for trickier foes like EBs. I don't think either machine would have any problem with running an extra account each, but I'm pretty sure my FD (wife) might object

When I run triple accounts i use a Sonic / Sonis Def, pure support toon, no attacks other than Howl. She is a perma 46 so dmg is meh, it'd purely for the Cone -res, toggle ally -res Pbaoe and full leadership and Dispersion etc etc.
Makes it a load of fun, although i'm interested in this Echo thing TG, how does that work ?

WoW has an entire scene for boxers, along with the 'echo' programs.
Even greater having a G15 while you're at it, macro's, custom keys, everything in the box
my max was 4 clients, 2 on each computer: tanker, spine/fire scrapper, fire/sonic troller and empath on auto-heal. Setting it up each mission is quite annoying, so i went back to WoW for boxing, way 'boxer friendlier'

I had 3 MMs on the go at one point but then I dropped one and stopped playing the other two. If could be bothered I'd pick them up again, lot of set up time, but good fun

Yeah.. I used to use my bots / dark on one account and thugs / traps on the other one, and that was a lot of fun - but both of those are very strong AoE characters in their own right - it's almost TOO easy heh

Pretty much any MMs work like a charm, esp non-clicky buffers like Force fields, storm, dark. Running 2 MMs at the moment that doesn't synergize well, but it's still a lot of fun, since they're XP-pacted to two dominators that I don't feel like playing on the lower levels.
Guessing that any buffer (on auto) should be nice. Used my Kin corr and a brute to speed up the mish'ing some time ago. One SB in the beginning usually lasted the mission since that brute is awesome. If not, I tp'd the kin, SB'd again and kept killing.
and btw: Macro/echo programs would be against the Eula!
I use a separate screen and have keys bound jut to drop the trap powers. My Dark MM runs more actively (its how Dark is meant to be done)

Been having a great deal of fun dual boxing with my MA / Shield scrapper on the main account, and fire / kin stuck on follow with the heal on auto, and found it to be quite an effective combination.
Forgetting the fact that in higher levels the fire / kin will be able to take on those unyielding 2 man spawns on his own, have any of you any experience for really effective, fun dual box setups like this ?
I was thinking of MA / WP and Grav / Kin for the next one, mainly because they're both two combinations I've always fancied trying, but probably too similar to what I'm running at the moment to offer that much diversity.
