Um... I take it you mean 14.99 as I paid £9.99 for this. Well it's not just for the costume, It's for the costume, mission teleporter and 1 free month of game time. Exactly the same price that the GvE pack was. Sounds fair to me.
Oh and the costume isn't Mac only. The devs have already confirmed it will be released on the PC bundled with the Mission Teleporter. When it gets released for the PC will probably be £5.99 (about 9 I think) like the other costume sets.
As it is at the moment you can buy the Mac edition, upgrade your account on the PC with the code and basically get the costume and TP power for about £1 with the saving of the game time.

Booster pack
Why even bother with creating a booster pack. Just buy the mac pack, for £9.99 and you basically get the Valkyrie costume set and Mission Transporter for £1, since you're getting a "free" month too?
I wouldn't waste the effort on a separate booster pack - it's easy enough to add for PC gamers at the moment.

Actual cost of the Valkyrie costume + mission teleporter: 2.00.
Or you can wait until the 2 month grace period is up, they release the Valkyrie Booster pack with the costumes and the mission teleporter for i'm guessing like the other boosters: 8.99.
So pay 2 euro now or pay 9 euro later, your call. Seems like a no brainer to me, but eh...

You know how this free market thing works? They decide what they want to offer, and how much, you decide whether you think it's worth the asking price, and you can spare the money.
Looks like you feel unhappy about at least one of the things on your side, so the solution's easy; don't buy the expansion.
Besides if you haven't got your Nightwidow yet everything else is full of meh, so who cares about expansion packs?

But what about the next month? Or the one after that? You're planning on continuing playing the game after this month, considering that you're willing to pay for a costume? If you pay for the pack, it's not like the free month is added to the account after you've stopped subscribing. You get the next month's payments off. And the month is not some sort of a magical macintosh month where you have to use a Mac client to play, you can use your normal one to do it.

Or, as said, you can pay for the month as normal and wait for the month or two and get the pack for 7 euros more if you had bought it now. Not only you get things later, but you have to pay more, and you've payed for the month you would have payed by buying the mac edition.
Also, if you want to cut back on the money you spend on games, buying virtual clothes in any case might not be the best way of going round on that. Maybe cutting back on gaming and working for an extra hour or two per week could be the answer.

The costume + mission transporter + free month of play has been the most worthwhile buy I've had in ages off of NCSoft.
Maybe we should not want to wait for a Valkyrie Booster Pack and see another pack come instead.
The mission transporter will have you crossing zones fast to your mission (think mission in shards) but only once every 2 hours but not if your like me who alts it alot in a single night and so will save heaps of time.
The free month of play makes the valkyrie and mission transporter very much value for money. I couldn't believe the cossie options I had.
I think if we are lucky these booster packs will become the future. Eventually we can have a free game that would have tonnes of new people swarming it and booster packs sold quarterly for more than enough money to keep things going.
I think if this game was free with booster packs it'll definitely pull more people in but that should be done when there is viably little more to do and...well scratch that we would have to see how the new competition turns out.
