Yup, was great . We Aussies don't get to see this sort of thing very often.
Could've done without the sidewalks being left completely untended by the council, and becoming rather treacherous in places.

*Fluffy 'snow' snowballs are fun.
*Icey (hard compacted snowballs) hurt. (a bit like cricketballs).
*Avoid the Yellow Snowballs.

It's safer to walk on the soft stuff on the verges, when snow gets compacted it turns to ice and that's not easy to walk on.
I don't remember them ever treating paths though, only roads. Probably to do with getting sued - if a car crashes it's always the drivers fault, if a pedestrian falls on his face it's always the councils fault.
I don't like snow personally, I grew up with it and the novelty wore off many years ago.
