Even i swear in real life often in game i don't need to do it. It is a game after all. If you have to swear, go ahead and swear all you want as nobody in game will hear you but typing that words on chat window is unneccessary. Keeping your tongue in check and trying to pick harmless words shows your respect to other team mates, in my opinion.
In the end if i really have to swear i do it in real life and not reflect that into game (I never swear in teams as i mostly team with friends or team mates mostly add me into their globals after teaming, i do it when i die stupidly on solo missions 
). This is a game after all, people come to here for relaxing from everyday life's stress why put more stress on them by rude behavior or immature acts.

I use the word "Crumbs" often and use the word "bleep" to replace a swear word and this is softly speaking really as in RL cos I am not abusive in RL but if I come across the worst thing ever I will let rip...4 times in 4 years. You've just got to let it all out sometime.

I would like to thank you all for your comments on this subject,the reason I posted this thread was that I was in a pug and the person who used what I thought was poor judgement with their language was an adult by their own addmisson.They had no way of knowing the ages of people in the group and we all now that the younger section that play the game will turn the filter off as it makes the feel more grown up to swear and see it come up on the chat box.But that aside thankyou for your answers and lets all enjoy the game

Also if my heroes started saying words like "oh pooey" and "holy frick! we'r in deep doo-doo now!!!" then it just well makes him look less powerfull
