What is the Aeon Bomb?
IIRC the Aeon bomb is the term for what happened when the hero Sunburst lost control of his powers and basically nuked Siren's Call, destroying the War Walls and allowing Rogue Isle villains easy access.
And after that people still allow Posi into built up areas.
Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant
Raymond Keyes is almost solely responsible for the reformation of the Freedom Phalanx in the 1980s. Without him, Lord Recluse would be running Paragon right now, Sister Psyche would be dead, and Statesman would be living in the Antarctic. I think Posi deserves to be allowed to go wherever he wants.
I may hate his TF, but Posi himself is an awesome guy.
The wisdom of Shadowe: Ghostraptor: The Shadowe is wise ...; FFM: Shadowe is no longer wise. ; Techbot_Alpha: Also, what Shadowe said. It seems he is still somewhat wise ; Bull Throttle: Shadowe was unwise in this instance...; Rock_Powerfist: in this instance Shadowe is wise.; Techbot_Alpha: Shadowe is very wise *nods*; Zortel: *Quotable line about Shadowe being wise goes here.*

Plus The Dark Watcher fixed him anyway. After all those years sitting in Steel worrying if he'd nuke and wipe out the financial district all it took was a level 6 defender power to turn him into a real boy...
You know, when you put it like that... how much of a genius IS Positron?
Although - yes - he is a damn fine hero.
The thing that confused me is this - in the Freedom Phalanx book, Posi helps form the team. The Top Cow comic is written in the early noughties (around 2005) - so they've been a team for at least 15-20 years. Why then, is there not a better dynamic?

Yes I assumed that too. But why Aeon? Did Dr Aeon and Lord Recluse set a trap for Sunburst with the intent of using him as a bomb?
I faintly remember that Sunburst is mentioned in one of the comics, but I can't remember which issue or if the comic sheds more light on the subject.
I'd say it's because they're all very strong personalities (with the possible exception of Posi, really) - Statesman is pretty much a god, and has been active since the 30s. Sister Psyche likewise on the timescale - she's very much her own woman. Manticore is a loner. He doesn't really socialise much with the rest of them, he and States (are?) butt heads quite often. Synapse and Posi are the only ones who have grown together as teammates, and it shows. The rest of them are used to either going their own way (Manticore and Psyche) or are just waiting for the rest of them to grow old and die (Statesman), which gives them limited reasons to actually socialise with one another. Hence, the friction.

This storyline, and the existance of the Siren's Call Ghosts mob type, suggests that at one time it was planned to do a SC story arc, in which you would have had to clear the name of Sunburst.
The Aeon Bomb was either:
a) A bomb intended to mimic the effect of Sunburst's powers going out of control; or
b) A bomb which utilised Sunburst as an unwitting component.
Whichever, it is no doubt named after it's creator.
I really should do something about this signature.

Mereman! You just made me snort coke out my nose laughing.
...erm edited because the comment I made could be misconstrued - I am not doing drugs!
I just read some of the Top Cow CoH comics - specifically the arc where Manticore pretends to join Lord Recluse's side.
Recluse mentions that *he* is the reason behind Sunburst's big-boom...

The Aeon Bomb is mentioned in the wiki section about Sunburst and Sirens Call. But what is it?
