Mind/psi the worst dmg???

Reading lots of your post about dominators I see that i was a little mislead about the AT. I have a mind/psi at lvl 40 and i must say that is the slowest lvling toon I have. Creating it from pure concept coz i like brain and mind (so psi powers) so much I find out pretty fast that it deals very low dmg (when I12 comes I run psi/psi blaster so the hunger for brains is satisfied ). Getting to lvl 38-39 when shockwawe kicks in I begin to see the AT's true potential. Dealing so much dmg under domination and truly being able to survive in melee (I respected in thought/weave).

So my question is does any of you had similar experience with these sets (they are just low dmg pre lvl 38) or I am doing something wrong?

I also tend to get under way another dominator just to get the impression right (not sure about the sets but i know i wont use both mind nor psi coz i am sick of them)

Psi Assault is notorious for sucky damage till you get Psi Shock Wave. Then when you get the best Dominator attack in the game slotted up, it becomes an aoe powerhouse that makes other domies cry.

It's been said before that anything /psi is 32 levels of suck followed by 18 levels of awesome, unless of course you are a mind/ and then its 38 levels of suck before it gets awesome.

Domies imo are meant for the high level game where they begin to really come into their own, and if you decide to go the perma-dom route, then you will really begin to see just how crazy fun Domies are

Which will be pointless as it is something that is being looked at for being nerfed, if they haven't done so already.

My 1st 50 was a mind/psi, before IO's as well. Took me a while to get there but I was happy to sail along at a leisurely pace enjoying the stories. Although it was infuriating at times against certain groups.

[/ QUOTE ]Less "nerfed", more changing how Domination works in general so people would not underperform if they're not Permadoms; one idea was to give Domination's damage bonus when -not- in Domination, which is lost and replaced with the mez bonus when -in- Domination.

Its not that bad at very low levels either - lvl 6 having picked up Mind Probe I found I was outdamaging the Brute I was teamed with. and Psi Dart is very fast charging so excellent for building Domination. The damage after about lvl 10 doesn't tend to scale well but the damage mitigation is excellent and you are very capable of soloing on Relentless safely, albeit slowly before hitting level 20.
Watch out when you get a team and they try your mishes though as most others won't be used to fighting purples at that level.
As has been said already once you get PSW everything changes again especially when you remember your regen/recovery will have been putting any regen scrapper to shame for several levels by then.

Also don't forget to factor in all the damage your pets do before you finish killing them all - remember you get them just as soon as you pick up Confuse

I think Mind/ should perform better the bigger the team gets, as you should from confusing more mobs, although lose xp per mob gain in xp/time from going through missions faster.

/Psi on the other hand is a set that theoretically should give you a longer endurance bar which means less chance for 0 end over time and so gain some performance back.

However, I don't look deep into Doms and so I could be wrong. I don't expect that Mind is as good for PvP as it was pre TK changes, pre PvP changes and given its lack of burst from having 0 real pets.
