Woah, can't believe it's been nearly 2 months already since the last time I posted here!

Yesterday and today I've been working on "my master's" assignment of 20 minute sketches.
After doing 4, I decided to take a shot at a CoH character. To prevent mis-drawing someone else's char I chose one of my own, going with Mysterious Mike.
Due to the fact that in-game refs kind of force the artist to free-draw a lot I didn't have time to add costumeparts or any clothing for that matter...


I don't know why, but somehow I've managed to give Mike, yet again, a hint of a female touch, didn't I.
I guess he just has a girly face then? *giggles*
On the plus side... I've never seen him look this happy

Though it started as kind of an accident as I didn't intent to draw a specific someone, I ended up with 3 portrait sketches of CoH based characters!
For the details and final touches I uses refs from the Art Request Thread here on the forums.
Been working less then an hour on each, which in my case means these are quick sketches

Looking good DD!! I totally love the pony! And the faces are really kool. Did you use a ball point pen?

@VexXxa: Thanks! No, no ballpoint pen. Those are done with pencil on paper, but my scanner scans pencils very light but has an option on it to put more strength in the lines, though that makes it look like it was done with pen instead of pencil hehe.

Today I treated myself to a drawing of one of my own characters hoping I'd be able to create something that can function as a wallpaper on my pc.
I used multible refs for pose and style.
And I'm quite pleased with how this turned out!

I'm not too proud of my sketches today. *shrugs* Better luck next time .

Did a bit of tinkering with the anatomy... it's not from ref or anything too detailed but just
to give a rough idea the arm should be closer to this. Also did a little touchup
on the eyes, rotated the nose a bit and extended the neck shadow.
Nice artz though DD, hope this helps

It will help! I have been struggling with his arm. But this helps for sure!
Still not sure about the smokey eyes, though they do indeed look more Mysterious . I shall ponder on that. Good fix on the nose, I couldn't quite pin down what was wrong there.

Gah... I had "finished" this in my head.. now you have me all worked up again to put more effort in it! *giggles*

Its very nicely drawn, but i think you should draw more pretty girls and less icky boys
