Influence
Buying from gold sellers is also against the game rules, as well as being dangerous for your account security
If you want lots of Inf quickly, then farming really is about the only way to get it, I think.

yer i know gold selling is against the rules, but its stupid anyway.
i guess ill just have to wait 30 days or so get the inf bonus day job then get a big team and farm lots of missions or a tf or 2, guess that should get me a small ammount of the inf i need.
this is gona take a while, and im a rather casual player.
ahh well, good things come to those who wait =)
You can also get lucky with drops from enemies - you could get a purple recipe that you don't need yourself, but it's still worth 20-30 million at WW.

this is true, and it has happened before,
i swear all the prices of salvage and recepies are depreciating with the credit crunch tho (even tho it doesn't effect the CoV world at all)
i swear some salvages that used to be worth like 3000 are now on 50-100 influence =S not good

There is currently a glut of Invention Salvage due to people cashing in their old Base and Component Salvage. I'm sure it won't last forever.
DCUO and CO will never see my money. The Citygame will keep seeing my money for as long as I keep enjoying it

Do you mean recently? Because since I13 went live, the market's been flooded with rare salvage from people converting their old base salvage into brainstorm salvage, then turning that into rare salvage.

You might like to try crafting lvl 50 set items. i.e. buy the recipes, make the item and sell it. I've been making about 15 million inf a day doing this. It takes about 45 minutes of game time a day.
If you want to do this then you'll need to find some good niches. (A niche is a combination of set, item and level such as Numina's, Heal, Lvl 50) Good niches turnover at least 5 items a day and sell for 3 million or more.
You really need to watch a niche for at least a week to find out what the typical prices are. For one thing, they're usually higher at the weekends. They also vary from week to week. It's not unusual for the average of the last 5 items to be 1/2 or double the long term average.
You need to work out how much you can afford to pay for a recipe in order to sell at a profit. Don't forget to figure in the salvage costs, bench price and the Wentworth's listing fee of 10%. The answer is often depressingly low.
My strategy is to bid low for the recipes and then sell at the going rate. I sell most items in less than 2 days this way. If I can't get any recipes at this price then I switch to another niche.
I never hold more than 4 recipes and items of the same type. This limits my losses when the price of a niche collapses.
My top tip is "don't follow the market upwards". Be very careful when the prices of the recipes and the crafted items rise. At some point, the price will crash back down to normal. You don't want to be holding many recipes or items when it happens.
Hey,
i recently got my first 50, and as i really like the invention system i started to buy the purple enhancemnet sets, but my influence depleted pretty quickly, so i could only buy about 2 or 3 of the set and concidering it was from the melee set they were some of the most expencive.
So anyway enough background, i was wondering if theres a really quick was i could ern influence without having to farm missions for it.
i need quite a lot 185,000,000 if im gona buy the enhancements ready made which i think comes out cheaper.
and then ive got the PBAoE set to buy as well.
So does anyone have any tips on gaining lots and lots of influence quickly.
i obviously dont want to gold sell as its a stupid idea generally because influence is not worth real money.
this may seem like a stupid question but i would greatly like some help.
thanx in advance =)
