i prefer not to suggest /elec. ive tried it till 32 but even then i was best at pants.
fire/fire is fun. good damg as well.

Anyway. Elec/Elec is a beast for scrapping. It's lacking for tanky purposes - but so is /Fire, so no big difference there. Both sets use unconventional methods for damage mitigation - Fire Aura has a very fast heal, whereas Elec/Elec allows you to use endurance drain as a viable source of damage mitigation. Lightning Rod, Power Sink, Thunder Strike and Lightning Field will result in a mostly-dead mob, where the remaining lieutenants will be pecking at you with Brawl (because they won't have enough endurance for anything better), and the Boss will be unable to do anything as long as you keep pummeling it. Also, Elec Melee does more AoE damage than Fire Melee, if that's your kind of thing.
Personally I find Elec/Elec more fun. Throw in Mu Mastery for Ball Lightning and you're golden.
Oh, and you actually can tank the LGTF easily.
I agree with Col on this. I have a lv 47 elec/elec brute, and every point that Col has made is accurate. Besides, Lightning Rod has to be one of the most fun powers ever invented. Oh, and another thing, fiery aura has no psi res, whereas elec armour does
I like my Elec/Fire........... am guessing that's out? But having lightning rod and burn is somewhat amazing on a brute

If I didn't dislike shields I would also try that.

i want a brute. i had one on a different account and i loved it. it was Fire/Fire. now i want to play a brute again and i'm not sure which powrset should i get. Elec has awesome resistance but the lack of the selfheal and slefrez concerns me. also i don't like the power that makes me unable to fight when runs out (Power Surge).
i tought about go for an Energy/Elec, but that smash/lethal def is no good. or am i wrong? any suggestuions?
