I do have to work with kids though!

And we have to team with them at some point... Can't you petition a new lesson called "CoX 1 o 1"

If I tried to deliver a lesson called CoX 101 then I doubt I would still be a teacher...

Is it just me, or if you actually try taking holiday before the end of the year, do your managers then conveniently forget and start ringing up in screaming panic anyway?

That or the holiday form you submitted 3 times in the summer gets convieniently lost around a week before youre due to have time off.....

Or, in the case of my wife earlier this year; book the holiday 6 months in advance, get it all OK'd and everything, then get told TWO DAYS BEFORE that she can't have it as someone who only started 2 months ago, booked it a week ago, and has ALREADY GONE ON HOLIDAY WITHOUT GETTING APPROVAL is also away.

She told 'em to get stuffed and we went anyway.

Well GhostRaptor is off for a few days (he'll be back on Monday) and I'm working half days this week, mainly on behind-the-scene stuff.

I guess this is what you get for not bothering with holidays until the last moment. :/

But don't worry Big Brother is watching you...

Gordon Brown plays CoX?

That explains a lot of recent policy decisions at least :P

Been there, done that I just told them to stuff it and was going as it was approved and booked. It's not my problem if someone new comes in and wants to go away a month after they start.

My mate had a holiday booked as he was going away to a stag do in ibiza and was told a couple of weeks before that he couldn't take it for similar reasons to your wife. He was going mad at me about how [censored] it was and how much money he was losing and how his mate was upset that his best man wasn't at the stag do, so I just told him to grow some and tell his HR he was going anyway. They grumbled a lot but there was nothing they could do about it

Ah the joys of public sector working. start on 28days (rising to 33 after a few years) the minute you sign the contract. Plus back holidays on top.

Marked flexi or my favorite self certified/managed hours.
Plus all the overtime you can take.

Makes me miss the old days of acrewed holiday (16 days per year due to shifts)
or not.
