A Few Suggestions....

I've been playing CoH for what seems like ages and I think the following things would add a bit more to the game.

Powers:

Water - Mainly for blasters, barrage your foes with mighty blasts of water, similar to the coralax

Burrowing - instead of jumping or flying, why not tunnel!

Streching - punch those villains from meters away with rubber arms and legs, even form a massive hammer or wall from your bouncy body!

Shapshifting - you can control your form. Turn from massive behemoth, to agile wolf if you need a get awy faster!

Earth MM - you have a strong connection with the earth, and can summon earth based minions, such as rock elementals, magma lords and quartz.

Events:

Since the rogue islands is mostly water, allow Lusca to pop up every now and then, to wage war with the villains.

Make more of the Skulls, Outcasts, Trolls and Hellions by setting them against each other in massive gang riots.

Use logged off characters as random villains or heroes in safeguard and mayhem missions!


Rockshock (Druid Tanker), Medicat (Combat Medic), Dwarf From the North (Ice Mage), Rocket Gal (Energy Blaster), Graveborn (Undead Mastermind), Streeker (Punching Speedster), Op. Sidewinder (Recluse's pet Spider)

This suggestion is fabolous. I wonder if its as easy to implement as it sounds on paper

Interesting, think its been suggested before, but add in Light blast from the Legacy Chain mobs, I say.

Not a bad idea, not normal NPC enemy minions though, but and

No. Doesnt work with the background. Maybe add some sort of Corolax GM, but Lusca belongs in IP.

Gang wars yes, but you get really sick of this lot after a while. The New Hollows is overcrowded, especially for the hunt missions. You can never find the right mob. Trust me...

Mission creator, I14. Using peoples character without their permission would not be popular.

I paticulary dislike this idea. There's already enough invasions as it is. Many people are annoied at GG for the Rikti and Zombie invasions, and just generally getting to where you wanna go is really hard during Rikti/Zombie invasion. The idea was novel at first now it's just plain annoying.

Maybe if the gang riots were mission-based, yes.

Also the other suggestion have their flaws already pointed out. Don't take it harshly, when someone dismisses your suggestion it only makes you make better suggestions in then future.

Water powers were the putative powerset of a Coralax Epic AT. It doesn't look like that's going to happen, so maybe one day. Probably one of the most suggested new sets (aside from guns for Scrappers ). Good idea to read the 'frequently suggested' sticky in the forum.

Also suggested before, it's probably un-doable with the current engine, and also probably not half as nice an idea as it sounds.

Suggested once a month. Again, see frequently suggested. Again, probably not as cool as it sounds. Also, kind of reserved for the kheldians.

I think she's kind of stuck in the port, plus GMs are currently not something people can be bothered with. Too much risk for the reward.

I've had enough of events like the zombies and Rikti raids, but it would be interesting to see this happen somewhere like Perez Park or the Hollows.

Also suggested this week. Unfortunately, the current AI is unable to handle some types of powerset without enormous, character specific tweaking which makes generic use of logged off hero/villains a no-go.

Personally, when my characters haven't got me running them, I'd rather they weren't getting pumelled into the floor by some guy doing bog-standard PvE missions, so I'd vote no on this anyway.

And by the same OP.

Almost all of these suggestions are tricky/impossible. You might want to put some deep thought into your suggestions and remember that we have a old engine.

Tunneling/Burrowing

Actually could be done in a way with TP, change animation from strong man thing to the animation those red cap weirdos have in Croatoa, spin into ground spin out somewhere else. It'd look odd when you arrive somewhere strange like the top of a building but...

Oh and add some code like the Oruboros portal which won't let you have an exit off the ground (Target In Air). To make up for the lack of real vertical travel ala TP make the range better and give small def buff at exit for 5s or something.

Just that it doesn't need to be a zone wide event, more like the burning building or troll raid.

In fact exactly like the troll raids, it happens in certain areas mobs duff each other up?

As for why I quoted you, no idea was probably drunk.

Nah. Do listen to other people, just don't take it as Bible Truth. Often, a criticism can help make things better.
