Cyrus lives dammit!
Umm... You mean the guy that sacrifices himself to save someone else?
*edit* +1 *edit*
just checked. Yup... Cyrus is meant to be dead. If you did by some accident manage to save him then we would have rewrite a part of CoH background.

How the hell is he dead?

Spoiler... unless you've read the comic: He dies of heart failure... or at least that's how it looks.

Not to mention cart away his statue outside Kings Row station.
I really should do something about this signature.

That's actually true. Just checked. Poor guy.
EDIT: Since we're talking about Ouroboros, I could raise the argument that Ms. Liberty should never have been born.
SPOILERS!
In the Villain TF given to you by Mender Tesseract she asks you to assassinate President Marchand. When you get to him, he teleports away and you're left fend off Liberation Lass's mother - Miss Liberty. Now, if memory serves me, she doesn't have a mediport on her because we acquired that technology from the Rikti and at the time of Marchand's assassination they hadn't invaded. Theoretically, when you fight Miss Liberty she cannot port away as she doesn't have a mediport. Therefore, she should have died, preventing her from having Ms. Liberty. Of course, Ms. Liberty could have already been born. But in Miss Liberty's lore it should be said that she was killed defending President Marchand.

As with all universes that have time travel, their is a device/entity/universal law that prevents paradox.
See any time travel story in DC or Marvel main universes.
See also a VEAT going back to cause the rise to power of the organization that trained him, after gaining power.
Or the finale to the Project Destiny story line.
CoX space time continuum is paradox proof!
Brawling Cactus from a distant planet.
Time travel is a fickle thing, it is totaly possible that she went forward in time aquired a medi port doohickey....but hey ho thats time travel for you, no explaination works as it cannot be explained by us mere mortals.
One of the leaders of the Harlequins villain group and currently on defiant.

So basically we're supposed to just not question it, shut up and accept it?
Sounds fine to me. It's all too confusing.

So I am all alone, and decide to do that TF that has Cyrus and 2 other lambs to a CoT slaughter in it, Smoke and Mirrors!
So at the end I wander in start on the Zoria, take out the room, save the hostages and kill the elite boss (was unyielding) and Cyrus is laying down sleeping like a baby with a full health bar. Nothing had the time nor opportunity to finish him off...so why at the end of it all does he have to be dead? How the hell is he dead?
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.
