Brutes are better than both Scrappers and Tankers in a good team because they scale insanely well with buffs. Their resistance caps and HP cap are the same as Tankers, and they have the highest damage buff cap in the game.
They might suck in PvP but they're GODS in PvE. But melolee sucks in PvP in general. Roll something ranged.
I have never fought a tanker in PvP, but I have fought scrapers, and I won. And I have not aimed for any kind of PvP build.
No, I think Brutes are well balances in regards to other melee AT's. What might need balancing is melee vs range, and a bit of balancing between the various melee sets.
I think the issue with melee vs range isnt going to be sorted easily in this.
The speed of the combat is too fast paced to get a sustained attack on any ranged target if they move around, however that being said /follow with a melee charecter on a target is your best friend.
In comment to brutes though, they are the one opponent other than MM's i hate coming up against in PvP just because it takes so damn long to kill them.
A well played brute can match almost any charecter i think in all honesty. It depends on how its played but they definately dont succeed well against ranged charecters in PvP because of there Inherant ability.
Your never really in combat long enough to gain enough fury to do any major damage with a well played charecter. This being said a brute vs a tanker that stands still, a brute would win every time because of Fury alone.
There just not built right for it.

So i say again i'm curious whether we should form a petition to get brute revamped i.e brutes to have much more hp than tankers which would compensate for the lower defence so they can absorb more while playing tanking and damage role form an 8 man team every seems to demand from them allready(tankers have better res and therefore soak up much more damage and they have much more hp's than a brute)

The problem of brutes in group pvp is that their fury just doesn't work, because it doesn't grow up (nobody attack them, and it's very difficult for a melee at to chain several attacks). And since their base damages are the lowest of melee ats...
But in a melee duel, a brute does awesome damages.
So what devs should improve is fury in group pvp, or the group pvp itself (many players in eu and us are asking for more pvp modes, which could resolve this problem and some others).

Just let me get this straight... You want a great AT buffed? Are you serious brutes should have higher HP than tanks because of lower resists? It would pretty much mean they'd become VERY overpowered in PvE (= devs wont do it). Following your logic scrappers, blasters, controllers and all other ATs should have higher HP than tanks to make up for the lower defence values...

The AT's are meant to be different... if you play one with lower HP, you probably deal either insane damage or you have some form of control. If you want a lot of HP, go roll an Ice Armour Tanker with perma-Hoarfrost.
