Virgin Media + Lag

I've had some lag, and am on Virgin Media. A bit of rubberbanding around Atlas, really bad lag there from time to time too. WW is super slow first time I access it too, sometimes not even bringing up details of anything I have stored on there or am bidding on. Might be unrelated coincidences. Or it might be a Nemesis plot. Also, really really long load times to get into SG base.

Haha, maybe it is a nemesis plot! =O Or maybe I need to change ISP... but that means getting a BT line put in, grr.
I'm on Virgin Media too, and I have been experiencing lag for quite a while now. Rubber banding here and there, and constant yellow and red spikes on the netgraph.
Does the stuff on Netgraph relate to your personal connection, or the CoX connection?
I wouldnt be able to say for sure but I would imagine that the netgraph is showing how your connection is to the CoX servers.
As we discussed last night, major lag like you were experiancing can be from a number of things. I think its fair to say that the problem wasn't with the CoX servers, as we 3 on the TF had no reall lag issue.
With it being so unusually bad lag I would imagine the problem would be due to high load on the virgin network, you reached your bandwidth quota for the month or someone else is using your connection at the sametime, downloading massive files or mutliple people playing online games from your connection such as xbox live.
If it continues I would suggest contacting virgin and ask them to run speed tests during high load times, this would let u know if the problem was with thier network or you.
Did a Speed Test just now, and it came out quite well, 9947 kb/s download, which is above average for where I live, but the upload was only 488 kb/s, which is below average.
I'm rubbish with stuff like this, but I'm assuming when you play an online game, you're uploading info as you play? Or not =/
Your upload is fine, it will always be a lot less than your download, this to discourage the use of running webservers from home lines.
Yes while you play online games your are uploading information but, no way near as much as u download. As all you really need to upload is comfirmation of your downloaded packet and info on your current status, whereas you downlaod the status for eveyone else in your vacinity. which is also a lot more data (very basic explination of networking in an MMO).
Speed test at this time of day are kinda pointless as load on the network will be minimal. Try it between 6 and 10, these are peak interenet usage times.

Been lagging the past few nights, annoying but nothing major, but tonight, I did Synapse, and the last 2 missions, I could barely move, I was rubberbanding all over the place, so much so, that in the final mission, the team had to bring the AV to me (I was tanker lol)
My netgraph had big red bits (technical I know) in it when I was rubberbanding, so was wondering if anyone else on Virgin had problems tonight or if it was just me?
After Synapse finished I couldnt get on the rest of the night =[
