Prestige and influence

Iwas offered and joined a SG last night but I have a question.

If I'm in SG mode earning prestige for the group do I still earn influence for myself as normal or is there some sort of percentage applied?

What happens to salvage and recipes I earn while in SG mode? Do they automatically go to the base?

Thx in advance

Hello there,

From paragonwiki

While you are in Supergroup Mode, you will earn Prestige for defeating enemies, completing missions, etc. At level 25 you will start earning less influence/infamy in exchange for earning Prestige; and at level 29 and above, you earn only half of the total amount of Influence/Infamy while in SG Mode. SG Mode does not alter experience gain/debt payment.

In Issue 12, the Earnings Progression was changed so that Influence/Infamy earnings never fall below 50%.

Salvage stays with you. I don't know if SG mode affects the rate that you pick up salvage.

SG mode will let you pick up base salvage. Has no impact on invention salvage. All salvage will go to you. It's upto you if you wanna put the base salvage into the base or keep it and use workbenches to make buffs and such for yourself with it.

Quick piece of advice with base salvage. If you plan to offer what you pick up to the SG rather than making your own stuff, ask your superiors where to put the salvage.

Different SG's have their own plans as to where specific salvage is kept in the base and what it is used for.

It's worth noting that after level 35 or so, most of you influence or infamy gain will come not from defeating mobs but selling the things that drop, so you can still make a fair bit of money whilst staying permanently in sg mode.

In fact, as a test prior to the changes to the prestige/influence split, an sg colleague of mine levelled from 1-50 entirely in sg mode to see whether he would run out of money. But it was all fine, he had plenty of cash without playing the market (by this i mean he didnt spend time flipping etc. but did sell his salvage/recipes of course) even at 35+ when he was earning no inf from defeating foes.

In my experience you can make inf from invention salvage drops near enough from the word go. They start dropping level 7-8ish, and as many of the common items can be sold for 10s of k you can easily have several hundred k of inf as you hit level 12 and start thinking about slotting useful enhs.

Yup, on my recent villain I got by on the earnings from selling drops alone, and I was always fully slotted.

True - and if you sell the BIG green and red insps you get from Outbeak that makes you a few thousand inf too

yeah, but where are you getting the money to put them up for auction for the big amounts? You have to risk levelling up from 2 to 3 to get your 800 quid together to sell the big greenie - anyone role-playing a wiley merchant with no superpowers is scuppered!

Auction them for 1 Inf and see what happens
