Not exactly the same but I would preffer an accesory for bases that will allow you to tp to mission. Make it some kind difficult to get, I don't know, defeat statesman / Lord Recluse 5 times on SG mode and I'll sign for it

This would alienate the players that do not have a SG=no base=no use for them.
MajorPains suggestion I like. Would be a better Veteran Reward than the ones we currently are given.
I'd go for the SG Base solution IF they put outside the base, so that you don't have to load every freakin time you want to use the base as transporter...

The best way to implement this would be similar to the Ouroboros Portal. Once a team mission is selected by the leader and Red-Starred then the power is castable.
The player with the portal power then casts it near to him/herself and it generates a portal linked to the mission entrance, this would then last 5 minutes, or until all the team members enter the portal.
Why not have it unlock both a base to 'Mission TP Beacon' and as a self teleport to mission entry by the unlocking character.
And as long as the character using the teleport beacon or power has the destination zones exploration badges they could teleport to a mission entrance there.
Notes:
1. Well you would have to know the layout of a zone so you didn't teleport into the floor or a wall.
2. This would also solve the too low a level to enter hazard zone issues if you haven't leveled your Security/Threat Level (Powers/Slots) to match your Combat (White equal Con) Level.
Why self TP only... well there is a 'Summon the team' 'recall friend' based TP from an earlier veteran reward.

As an additional an Icon Tailors/Facemaker Teleport would also be a welcome veteran reward, offering teleports to each visited tailor.
(Meaning once you visited a tailor you could teleport there.)

Additional notes for MM's:
The levels you gain additional pets for an existing pet summon is actually based on your combat level...
For example: Having a Threat level below 6, but a Combat level of 6 would let you have 2x tier 1 pets.
This would be from the moment you gained the 6th Combat Level 'Level Up' message, be it in mission or otherwise.

I guess you mean that I, as a player, really should be doing the transportation myself and not get this really useful reward that takes a very dull moment away from the game... evil grin. Well, without sarcasmy; I don't mean you should never travel at all. But at times, like in the description I made in the OP, it's just a visit from Mr Boring Mad, you go from one zone end to another to get a mish, that in turn is located where you just came from.
Enough blah from me. Will probably never make it into the game anyways...
Just struck after seeing a contact in Indy and getting a mission that is located at the far other end of Indy... that a nice vet award would be a "Portable Mission Teleporter". Not that I think we'd get one but I would like it. Very much. After, say, 5 years of jumping, speeding, flying or TP:ing around PC you get a bit tired of the city view... so to speak.
