New co-op/competitive zone: Airport
hmmm nice idea. if i may add to it villians have mission in this zone to take hostages and do terrorist acts and the heroes have to stop them.
I have a mission for this area, similar to bloody bay, create a flyer, a temp power mission where you visit crashed Planes and Flyers and salvage the tech. When you arrive and activate the salvager, ghosts of the Pilots and passengers appear like the Shivans, after that you go to a lab, destroy the defenses, craft the Flyer (heroes get longbow chaser, villains get sky raider skiff) then visit your contact again and report your success! you recieve your temp power of a Flying Vheicle
A total of 14 of my nerves have been harmed in the making of this post...

I'm not sure NCNC would want to court the amount of controversy they'd be buried in if they let players commit terrorist acts
Btw, for anyone who cares I've posted my co-op newbie zone idea over on this thread - but just to warn you, it is rather long - so long I had to break it into 4 posts
lol true but not like the terrorist attack in real life like something arachnos would do or malta that would be classed as terrorist attacks...i dunno i was think as i typed damn it
Definitely like the idea of a low level coop zone or a competitive non pvp zone where heroes and villains have different agendas - possibly both sides need to gain control of the zone but cannot risk chasing off the source of income from the civilians in it.
I'm not convinced over your choice of location - there are already 2 main airports in PC - Baumton Airport - just to the east of boomtown so not really much incentive to build another one a mile or so away. With a name like Rabonowitz I could see it being more appropriate being a renamed Skyway International - which is located between Skyway and Talos. In both cases the existing airports are closer to the coast and so more accessible to villains

True, but you need to actually have geographical space to place the zone down on the in-game city map. Both of the locations you mention aren't big enough for more than a very narrow/small zone. Besides, as those locations you mention are outside the war walls they're probably in a worse state than Boomtown is
If it bothers you that much just pretend my zone is a new airport, one that Crey is building on cleared land north of IP.

Mayhem missions. Arson, grand-theft (bank-robbery), releasing of incarcerated villains, weapon trafficking, willful destruction of private property (cars), willful destruction of government property (mailboxes and payphones), willful destruction of city property (fire-hydrants and bus-shelters and newsstands), willful destruction of police property, resisting arrest and littering (crates, boxes, barrels etcetera).
What part or parts of the above isn't terrorism?

Almost put this in your other thread but it doesn't suit that
Sticking with the idea of an airport - a terrorist group has grabbed a load of hostages including a couple family members of high profile redside bosses. Your job is to get them out safe and well - raid on Entebe comes to mind at this point. Even better if there could be different ways to progress - the Diplomacy Route or the Military Strike would involve a lot more work in designing an arc/TF around this but woud brim more immersion to the plot and the idea that actions may have repercussions.

i got a great idea for some missions you could do in this zone a ambassador escort like you work with longbow NPCs to escort a ambassodor who is being targeted by the villians in the zone (get a random villain group attacking you). and you have to escort him to a certian part of the zone and you get a bonus if the ambassador is unharmed when he arrives to the safe zone

Would possibly fit a more standard city zone better - escort him to a conference, watch cut scene, escort him out.
Or along a similar line a report comes in of a sniper picking off civilians. (Sniper spawns in a random building) Your job (Hero - capture sniper and escort to the Zig, Villain - find sniper and throw him out of his window) - Reward reduced for every civilian killed.
or combine them - if the sniper gets the diplomat mission failed, if he gets too many civilians - no reward.

[/ QUOTE ]I can see where you are going with this, but the Tourist badge wouldn't be the best option. Firstly, most people (veterans definitely) get the tourist badge on rolling a new alt. Heroside, I currently get 16 badges for each new one. Secondly, villains don't get the badge... Maybe Explorer would be a better requisite
