Lost free character slots?

With the release of i12, I earned some extra slots because I've been around for 3 years. Veteran reward thing...
But about 30 minutes ago I logged in and found that the extra slots and the option to buy additional slots, plus the options to rename and transfer characters were all gone.

I'm assuming this is caused by the maintanance on the datacenter servers. (But I didn't read the whole thread about it).
If this is not caused by the maintanance then somebody should look into this.

Me 2. Had bought some extra slots but not filled them. Now they are all locked.

VERY miffed. I would appreciate some explanation, seems I have just paid money to NCSoft under false pretenses.

In what way it was limited may not of been correctly 'guessed' by some people.

That's already been clarified. They are limited in that at a point of time in the future we will stop offering the free slots granted with Issue 12 release (the 2 free ones). Those who have already received them will keep them forever.

So every single empty slot that was there by any means will return? You can delete and remake at will using that slot?

Edit: Its okay no need to reply, I think somethings were lost in communication with people I talk to. You have to claim them or they'd be lost. It's not like you've claimed them and then they'd be lost.

Any slots added to your account will not be removed at a later time. They are yours to keep and use as you please.

Their absence right now is due to an issue that is currently being worked on (see my earlier post in this thread).
