Are SoA's worth getting a lvl50?

Like the title says

I'm already pretty bored with the entire CoV content, its missions and its varity of mobs (arachnos, longbow, cot etc), not to mention the ongoing issues with pets and their flaws.

As i reached the last 7&9 lvls with 2 MM's, i still cant find enough motivation to reach lvl50 with them. RWZ missions are dull, CoT/Longbow/Carnies make my pets go crazy, Council only give those vampiri/wolfs and i serious hate the nonstop fighting against AV/EB's (in Hero side you can easy evade them).

So my last hope is SoA's. Kheldians i was really dissapointed in, funny you can shapeshift but i have a Granite wich does the same. And even if i get a SoA, i need to redo the entire dull content once again.

So, are they worth it when you already are bored with CoV?

If you're bored of the all the content you've listed (pretty much everything you'll encounter) then a new AT isn't likely to make much difference. Even if it is a cool as the Widows.
Looks like you need a break.

I've been really bored of heroes since I dinged 50 with my first villian (just after they introduced 40-50 content), and he'd done pretty much every arc!

BUT with SoA I like the sound of them again.

New content
Team aspects
Sure to be in ainflux of players making it easier to get a group
Been long enough I can do the content again without remembering all.
Crab Spiders have some genuinely new powers

I could easily see why your bored playing 2 MMs through the content. They are the same AT but changing an AT doesn't always change things much or does it.

I occasionally have a break and sometimes breaks are put upon me through work and then you come back not quite so easily remembering it all, refreshed in a way and carry on.

The problem with breaks is that you can jar friendships. I got a tell asking me if they done something wrong because I hadn't been able to log in when they are on and now I dunno where they are.

Most of my builds are experiments and that usually sees me through in time. As I level though people wonder what I am doing/trying to do/would like to do and wonder if I know the game at all XD -> Talk a good game.

Try a break or try an experimental SoA that no one else will have like I am trying with a Widow.

Well, my Merc MM is that borked its sometimes not fun to play anymore at all. My necro/trap however gives great joy playing, just that the content is boring.

As for the other ATs, i do have several from 12 to 33:
Brute: I prefer a solid 'state', tanker or scrapper.
Dominator: I have a 33, enjoyable
Corrupter: i prefer a blaster, by far.
Stalker: Imho a underperforming scrapper, not my kind.

But for the break, i only play currently cause a quiting friend gave me 2 timecards. Dont even know when they expire Hero side i still enjoy playing, even with my 50s. (i have i believe 34 characters atm).

Can see why you'd enjoy a Dominator, they're a Blapper with holds, rather than a Controller with attacks. Corrs are more akin to Defenders...or my Offenders are more akin to my Corrs, I don't remember any more, they've seemingly merged into one cross-game AT; Corrender - destroyer of missions (also some buffs).

I personally find Heroes content dull (Nemesis/Nemesis/Malta/Crey..oh wait no its Nemesis), whilst I enjoy Villains, to each their own. But as said, if the content is what is getting you down, then a break from it would be better.

Actually I only find this game 'dull' when soloing, no matter the AT, but thats just me.

I find it the villain AT's a lot more agreeable if you break them down as:

Brute: A Scrapper with more HP and higher damage. Brute's aren't Tank's, don't fall in to that association trap.
Dominator: Blastroller - kinda flat until Domination pops.
Corrupter: Offenders. Simply put when you get them them top they're pretty damn sexy.
Stalker: Stalker's probably fall in to the 'Blaster' tick box the most as they're massive up front damage (Hide/Crits) but are moderately squishy vs many foes (theoretically).

Personally I never enjoyed Villain's too much until I embraced the SMASH! lifestyle with my SS Brute. Brute's aren't there to Tank stuff, they're there to kill everything.

Get to 50 with a villain that's close for the SoA, see how agreeable they are for you. The Grandville content is pretty awesome - despite being yet another brown and grey drab zone.

It seems to me that you're a man of variety. The SoA powers read as plain, but when you start looking at prospective builds, you've got something wonderful.

You don't seem to be fond of archetypes which appear to be trying out two different things at once, so I would stay away from the Crab Spider. Banes might be up your street. You might also be very interested in the Blood Widow, branching as a Night Widow. Again, Fortunatas sacrifice pure damage for Dominator powers, so they might not be for you. Of course, I haven't actually PLAYED any of them yet, and this is just what I'm feeling from the US boards.

There's also a whole lot of unique VEAT content, that being something Castle has said defines an epic archetype. If you're sick of the regular stuff, this could be just what you need.

Necrobond - 50 BS/Inv Scrapper made in I1
Rickar - 50 Bots/FF Mastermind
Anti-Muon - 42 Warshade
Ivory Sicarius - 45 Crab Spider

Aber ja, natrlich Hans nass ist, er steht unter einem Wasserfall.
